1 of 1 Jeep J10 Extended Cab FACTORY Prototype Pickup
JeepSchmidt O'Guinness replied to WahooSteeler's topic in The Pub
Pre '97 front clip, but I can't remember if '96 changed to the full window. Hard to tell if its the short/long box... But that wheel base is already looking on the extreme side. Might have to rethink the cheromancheneer. -
1 of 1 Jeep J10 Extended Cab FACTORY Prototype Pickup
JeepSchmidt O'Guinness replied to WahooSteeler's topic in The Pub
Got the idea from a thread on here.... Starting with a solid 2dr xj with the rear side vent windows, cut after those. Then using a swb mj cutting after the ext' cab panels. Not really a how, rather a what I'd like to have... I'd call it the cheromancheneer... cuz after all that sillyness one would have to have the wagoneer front clip double headlight setup, purely for flex ;P -

Temp gauge - normal?
JeepSchmidt O'Guinness replied to 91Pioneer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The sensor in the thermo housing is for aux fan. The temp gauge sender is at the rear of the block next to the map sensor. I would suspect that sender is bad before fireing parts cannon at the gauge. -
Can I bleed just the rear brakes?
JeepSchmidt O'Guinness replied to coheed's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
It just hit me, is that emergency line for if the front lines fail so the rear gets full pressure from the front block? Coheed, sorry for misinfo' and quasi thread jack. -

JeepSchmidt O'Guinness replied to coheed's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I see where you're coming from because that's what the front distrobution block is supposed to do, keep pressure on the front lines when the rears lose it. But I think the return line from the rear proportioning valve will have gotten air into the system, which is why we have that unique bleeding procedure. If you had pinched the rubber line between the return T junction and standard (driver/passenger) T junction before the axle swap, then it's possible the system didn't get air into the return line. .... But even then its better to do lil'more work and be safe than to take the easy way and regret it later. P.S. pinching said rubber line is more of a last ditch option trail repair because of potential damage to the hose. But when you don't have the required fluid / just need to get back to civilization aka supplies it can work in a pinch ;P Hour late and a dollar short -
Headliner Board
JeepSchmidt O'Guinness replied to Drahcir495's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The porous nature of the material allows air to be the insulation, the bed liner would conduct heat faster. Also I would think bed liner might have trouble bonding/curing to the roof of the cab in the dead of summer. Just my two cents. -

Won't stay running after AX 15 swap
JeepSchmidt O'Guinness replied to JZLAJeep's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've had new ignition switch failure after a week or so of operation. I think I didnt have the origional lock cylinder seated properly. If your ign' switch is still under warranty I'd try exchanging and see if that fixes the no volts during key on. -
just put down the hammer and back away slowly...

That beetle camper (second to last), has me scratching my head... Is that the rear fab'd to the front of a camper? Steering or is it just towed? WTF over? -
Peanut gallery comment incoming. Does the rear seat even have springs in the center; how often is there a butt using it? Would cutting a cup-holder sized whole be practical? I know these Q's are odd, but this particular peanut has a 2dr xj with rear seat removed so have I two perfect factory cupholders that never see any use besides an ocasional washer/bolt/nut ;P

Is it just me? Looks like the rear window gasket was cut... Or am I just seeing things.

Measure that new bearings outer diameter and depth to see if it fits your origional pulley. -
15k huh; Anybody else catch that the rims on the rear weren't period correct?
