Unfortunately is beat to hell. Only good interior piece is the headliner and I have an extra. Only 2x4 and the part I’m looking for the R side bed panel is bashed. The Left is good has 346,000 on it. I’ve got diner xj so it’s a no go for me, but I did think about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Comanche Bezels (2) 25$/ea
jeeppapa replied to Rustle's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I’ve come across a few in the yards but I’m seeing less and less of them. I’ve seen only 1 in the last 8 months and it unfortunately was broken but a guy trying to get to the cluster behind it. It broke my heart as I’ve been looking for one for my black Eliminator. Ya grab those quick the price is going up on them. Good find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I’ve ran across 2 XJ 1986 PIONEERS with D44s under them. These trucks looked like they had every option available at the time. Found 1 in LA and 1 recently in KC it had a snow plow mount on the front. Interesting that both had the same paint and interior color and fabric. After that I’m always checking under those early xjs. My 2001 xj is a sport but with the upcountry package and it’s got 44s under it. I bought it from the original owner and he special ordered it that way. Said he waited almost 4 months for it. It was a towed vehicle behind a pusher diesel puller RV. The guy had money so he could order what ever he wanted. I just go lucky. He put it on the net for 20mins before I called. It only have 8,000 miles on it. That was in 2008. Payed 13,000 I just got lucky. I always check under those XJs u never know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone found fairly inexpensive way to deaden the road noise in the cab? This may sound crazy but has anyone tried spray foam. I’m not talking about drain areas. Maybe upper B pillar and the like. It’s just an idea. Not to enthusiastic about paying for the higher end mating. Just looking at other options and want to hear any other ideas that have had some success. Its really driving me nuts. 200 bucks you did well. I’d pay that and more just for the parts. Congrats once the MJ hook is in you it goes deep that’s for sure. But you know that by now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like said you order about anything if you were willing to pay for it. It was called a Special Order at GM. You could do it but very pricey. Very possible this truck pulled a heavy load or was loaded down 6 days out of the week. I found part of the axil tab. I’ll clean it up and check it out. Not much left of it. Not sure if your correct about that. From what have always understood and have been backed upon this forum. You could order them with any upgrade you wanted as long as you were willing to pay. That came from a man who actually worked at the dealership were Comanches were sitting on the show room floor. My father retired from GM and we ordered May upgraded vehicles through GM. I got a completely stock 3rd owner 88 Pioneer with a factory D44s both front and rear. That easily may have been a special order. All you have to do is pay the money put the factory order in and be willing to what a month or longer. My family did it many times. So ya it defiantly could be a factory ordered truck. You just had to fork the money out. That being a truck that was a commercial vehicle ie belonging to an appliance company ya that could be the case. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m driving stock Eliminator and man it’s getting so much better mileage then my 4x4 cherokee. I get that daily diver thing. A trip that was costing me 20 in gas now costs around 15. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I’ll study up on free floating Identification again and if it is I’ll grab it I’ve go the axle tab some where here but it’s pretty rusty. I’ll look for it again and see if I can get anything off it. Almost bought one 16 years ago. Was already to buy it and I did something smart and tried to put it in my garage with the grand Cherokee. Owned a condo at the time and the two car garage just wouldn’t fit it in. I was really bummed when I found that out. It was beautiful. On YouTube there Is a young Doctor Who put one back together and it really came out nice. He had a lot of resources for parts and also there is a place in Florida that’s still making the wood grain. But I would think car rap company could do it. Congratulations on the find. It’s always good to find people that are restoring these jeeps and not just running them into the ground. Some of body styles were so unique there’s nothing else like them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No my brain got it wrong. Whitney is correct. What can I say it was a late night text. We tried to get to the top. It was deep snow and the road was closed so we hiked until the snow was crouch deep then called it done. That’s a fun trip if your ever in Cali. From snow to sand dunes in the same day. An absolute blast. Hay Crusty tell us how it going. Any fresh graves in the desert? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
