Keep them they are part of the original Eliminator package. If you resell it is a selling point. I happen to love them. Old school is becoming cool again, so hold on to them. If you want to know the value check eBay for a going price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There is always some knowitall sitting on his @$$ doing nothing ready to shot down someone's idea or jump on a person who has a legitimate question. If they have nothing productive to say ignore them and move on to the people that do. Some people like to throw a wrench into things for their own amusement. Don't let them get under your skin because that's the reason why they do it. It looks like a good product. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

rear brake hard line replacement
jeeppapa replied to 54bobby's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I started from the rear and one piece is best if you can do it. Double flair and cap or tape your feed end before you start. Then your ready to screw it into distribution block without having to flair it in that tight space. Don't forget your fitting before you flair. Mine had a 2 piece on it with a 1/4" water line fitting junction. No wonder I couldn't get them bled properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Had a 69 Road Runner in HS. 383 magnum with 440 magnum heads on it and a 780 holly double pumper on it. These cars are taking me back there. If I had known how much of a good time I was having back then I would have spent more time out of the house doing it. If you love cars that was a great time to be young and alive. To bring back an old hotrod saying your cars going to run like a raped ape. You won't believe the power behind that 440. Have fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Once had two mechanics tell me my rear end needed to be replaced. It was the transition mount. Going to remember is thread in case it happens to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FYI BENCH SET- there is a beautiful black bench set sitting in a stripped out comanche in Lancaster CA at a yard called A-Z or All American has to entities operating out of the same yard. I got the speedo out of it there was just over 100,000 on it. The seat had a bunch of parts on it I pulled those out and from what I could tell under the dust no rips and no distortion to the foam. I was amazed at the condition. I don't need a bench set I like buckets. It's a full service yard. The trucks body is in great condition . I got him down to 600 for entire thing but title is for parts only I don't even think it can de registered again. I think it's a parts only title. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

need advice on my comanche
jeeppapa replied to Jeepingisfun's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
put a new fuel filter on it first, if it wasn't changed with engine it could be that simple. If it doesn't start check any fuses for the pump, how old is the gas, turn the key on and we if you here a hum coming from your tank that's where the pump and sending unit is. Try to smell the gas if it doesn't smell rite. The smell should be strong and pungent. It could be bad gas. I've gotten it at stations with contaminated ground tanks. The gas will separate over time. Condensation in the trucks tank can do it to. Pull your fuel line crank it to see if you have flow. Where the injectors cleaned before motor was installed? I don't know didelly about a four banger but a new fuel filter always helps and it's a good way to start out with a new to you car. Then you know where you stand. It's cheap insurance. Best of luck. If the guy gutted a straight decent MJ to sell the parts he might have screwed him self because most of it are XJ parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I drove 4hrs round trip twice to get mine. Show a wad of cash pull it out and have it in your hand. Start at 1300 then tell him your willing to come up if he is willing to through in parts as you go. Each item can be bartered on as you go or let's say you'll come up 2oo for the intire interior. If he plays ball. He might pitch 300 settle in the middle and move on to the next item. So if you were going to pay 1900 for the shell anything you get on top of is gravy. Then sell the extra soon your perfect body only cost you 1400. You know how to play. But get those tail lights. This is all just an example but that's the way I would play it. As a shell you can even brake down your initial offer to him this way. The bed being worth this much and the cab being worth this much. Because it is just sitting on an XJ frame. He stripped it out hoping to increase his profit margins creating more work for you putting it back together so make him pay for it. The rest are XJ parts very common. Get the high dollar stuff first. Tell him you do want to give him his asking price but it has to be a fare deal for both of you. The goal is every one walks away happy. That a great line to use when negotiating. Best of luck but get on it. Put in the seat time and you might becoming out hundreds of dollars ahead. Hell I drive 1hr 1/2 just for a part some times. Just a though to you the most bang for the buck. Don't think you might what for the next straight rust free MJ to come along because that might be never. Best of luck to you knock em dead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You fulfilled this as soon at you bought the 87. Buy it get what you can off of it if you have spar to store it then sell the rest. Especially if your going to Wheel it. That tranny alone is worth it. In my area I can't touch used automatic for under 450. How bad was the fire? Did it consume the engine bay or start at the fire wall and come it the compartment. Did it get hot enough to burn the font tires off. Did it start and was putout quickly or burn for some time increasing the temps and damage. Find out the mileage and what components were rebuilt. I'm getting a 92 free from friend but it got almost 500,000 on it but the tranny transfer case where rebuilt 2 years ago. Sence it was rebuilt it has sat for about that same amount of time. I'm going to put that tranny and put it in my keeper MJ. I burned up the tranny in my first MJ. The po said it was only started in the every 3 months ford the last few years and when it was seven it was only in the neighborhood. The first thing I should have done when I got it was put some seafoam in the tranny and I'm sure was from sticking ball valves in the tranny. Truck was an 87 long bed. Well I got lucky and found an AW4 tranny out of an 88 Cherokee with only 86,000 on it, but it to had been sitting on a shelf for 8yrs. It was in a higher end clean they pick it yard with parts indoor and in shelved warehouses. Well to make a short story long. I installed it. Put fluid and sea Foam in eight years later O problems. -

Before committing to different configures they may try the market with one configuration and see how it sells. Jeep is actually building a new plant. Not sure where what I do know is jeep brand mark share increased buy 17% last year. A lot overseas sales. The jeep brand has been steadily growing over the past 6 years. Now they are starting to breakout of there smaller market share. Hopefully they will be a contender with some of the larger auto makers i.e. Ford and Chevy. If this truck is a success this may be the catalyst for that move. It could take many years but it is a possibility with growth like this. I do wish that would redesign the commander. I was interested in it initially that theater seating inside with different levels to the seat make for a great view of the road from the 3rd seat but the design really cut down in the interior squat footage. I believe the sales man told me that interior space was a little larger then my Cherokee Classic. Bing disappointment thought that's going to be hard to compete with the Chevy Tahoe and the the Ford Explorer. I'm seeing more and more Jeeps on the roads and that healthy resale value is also drawing buyers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
