There's a seal around the air box that seals the heater and the fresh air vent. Fresh air comes thru it and runs across the heater then is distributed thru out the truck, if the seal is worn it will let air leak past and into the cabin

You need a starter, that's the plunger to engage the starter to the flywheel.

Don't get the ones from the tire stores, they all use the same key, if you can find one with a ring on the outside that spins. They take a little longer to remove.

Thats a possibility, try lifting the shifter up and turn the key

Your shifter is either not adjusted correctly or the key park release is not adjusted correctly, the column still thinks its in reverse. It's been a while since I've dived into the shifter column and for the life of me I can't remember how to adjust it. If you look in the factory service manuals (cue @Pete M signature you can get the manuals downloaded and locate the section

The oil light comes on when there is little to no oil pressure, the temp light comes on at something like 220 degrees. and the battery light is like 11.5volts. the oil and battery come on as there is no pressure/voltage when key is first turned on. the temp does not come on unless the unit is overheating.
