  1. If it were me I'd use the turbines for street and the other for a set of aggressive snow studs for the winter . As far as the turbines I would like to see someone powder coat the lower parts black and polish the bright surfaces ..

    2012 AMX concept

You think they could paint those colors on something NOT made in mexico . AMC fan yes , Dodge Charger / Challenger fan ? Only the real ones made in Detroit , not the glorified plastic coated disgrace to an American legend .
  3. I don't think the computer from your MJ will work with the newer EFI HO motor , I think you'll need the harness and all the sensors as well . Completely different breed from Renix to Chrysler HO motors .
  4. I figured , my wife really wants a yellow one , I started looking since my truck has been getting all the attention lately . So I bought her a Vespa scooter to keep her mind off how much money is going the MJ . Sorry for the :hijack:
  5. You want to sell it .... :brows:
  6. Go ahead and throw the 31"s on it , you'll love them .... Welcome to the club. They do sell medication for people like us , called upgrades the only problem is their addicting ..... :chillin:
  7. Cut it out and re-glue , urethane preferably , or you can throw some RTV in the gasket but trying to get it out without breaking it will not be fun that way . Brand new seals are sometimes even harder to get back in , not to mention expensive .
  8. Now how the hell can I find any deals when you keep snagging them up ....... Its all good I don't know how you find time for more than one ..... :help:
  9. Thanks guys plenty of info as usual . Guess I've got some reading to do ....
  10. For 800.00 bucks you can replace almost everything in the front . Track bar , sway bar , tie rod and ends , ball joints and a stabilizer . Are those knuckles OK ?
  11. Its a 92", buy that sh@t !!!!
  12. Yeah, he replaced most of the XJ steering components as well as the shoes hubs and rotors , he just re drilled them . I believe the tie rod ends face up not down like stock .
  13. So what's the link to the thread that you were reading the other day? Would help to know what you are referring to.......... Thats the problem , I can't find it anymore it was about a week back or so . I think it was for the Dana 30 , he had done some modification to a set of 2001 WJ knuckles using most of the components from the WJ . I don't know much about this stuff so I'm again looking to get some golden knowledge . The NAXJA site confuses me , I'm a newb .
  14. So I was reading a thread the other day on NAXJA , about a WJ High steer knuckle swap . Correct me if I'm wrong , witch I usually am about this stuff . I didn't really see what he did to convert newer style knuckles from the older ones . What are the benefits of the newer knuckles or am I better off getting the Tera Flex High steering kit thats $$$$$ . Witch he said only includes one knuckle and you still have to buy the other one ? Sorry I couldn't find a thread on this subject . :fool:
  15. Yeah , the horn kit is more than the wheel . For those guys who don't like the wheel , the center cap will work on any wheel that has a flat face like the classic . I believe they work on allot of other Grant wheels as well , like the signature series wheels , I'd bet it would fit some of the others as well . the bolt pattern fits and it sits flush on the back , so it might fit some other brand wheels as well .
  16. New springs wouldn't either , I'm sure If they are anything like mine , they settle to one side or the other the spring rates can reduce causing a type of bump steer thats really not right , kind of feels like tire pull on wider tires . Shocks are not that expensive as long as you stay out of the completely high end models like ( Tera Flex ) top end kits for about 1500.00 .... :ack: I'm going with the RE mono tubes for 319.00 a set . Stay away from the cheaper shocks cause they tend to ride like crap-strava-ganza . Not sure if the mono-tubes are going to be any good but I'm going to check it out .
  17. I was going to use my old dana 35 out of my truck to keep it original . This way I can use the old spring mounts and shock mounts , Fab anything else or even use the old springs too .
  18. Wow with all that garage space you can get allot of work done , looks like a perfect time to put one of those garage floor coatings down , get one in the grey so it matches the MJ ....
  19. Sorry guys , I can't sympathize with you , in 15 years of SCCA racing I've never had a problem with any of Grants wheels . If anyone wants the stocker wheel they can have it , just a POS collecting dust now . I did catch my hand in a spoke back when I was like 17 or something , never did it again . My truck is a manual so one hand is always on the gears , the quicker turning radius helped me drive the way I want too . But I'm an old muscle car / hot rod fan , so it fits me perfectly . :chillin: The pics might fool you but its not the small Grant wheel its the larger one , I don't like the smaller ones , I'm not driving a lowrider .
  20. Man, you know your madd when you waste a good cup of coffee , hope you got 'em good .
  21. Yeah it is the classic series , for some weird reason I was thinking their name was GT Grant , not the Grant GT series .
  22. First off welcome . If your MJ is manual its the AX-15 if its a auto its the BA-10 . Pics?
  23. Grey will give you a better eye on uneven surfaces . Remember to spot sand with spatter paint and a board sander or 3M sanding blocks .
  24. Shackles or an AAL , 2" pucks or ZJ v8 coils and lift shocks , I would replace the track bar with an OEM or a adjustable track bar for 65 bucks more . Get yourself a set of WJ upper and lower control arms . If interested I have a kit . 250.00 for everything . Pm me if interested .
  25. A proper two inch lift is all you need to run 31"s and will do mild trails easily .
