Wranglers still used vacuum switches until 1996 so this must be a YJ case. It doesn’t have a true neutral in it
so if your MJ still use the vacuum system then you can use that, however if yours don’t, don’t bother buying it.
I got a 88 with column shift and idiot lights. I got a full gauge to swap in. I’m actually gonna swap the transmission one day soon to a manual. Is the PRNDL indicator necessary? Can I swap the full gauges in without cutting the slot?
They were clean in the first place lol. The build quality isn't that great in the first place though.
I ll be tossing the lights out eventually anyway so I'm not too worried about the OEM lights for now.
I don't like those reverse bulbs. I bought it when I first got my MJ. Broke one of them while gingerly putting it in the socket. The other one went in just fine but it didn't last a week before it burned out.
Had to put in regular bulbs to pass inspection.
I ll also like to note that 2.5L mounts and 00-01 4.0L mounts share common bolt pattern but the 4.0L are actually about 1/4"-3/8" taller.
abd I know 2.5L guys commonly use those centered 4.0L mounts as an upgrade over OEM 2.5L mounts. So I will not market any 2.5L mounts but I will use the centered 4.0L mounts instead.
The offset/centered has to do with the crossmember... those 4 holes on it where the studs goes in the crossmember are located differently between 2.5L and 4.0L.
As for the XJ, they started using centered version on 4.0L in 2000. So thus 2000/2001 XJs with 4.0L need entered mounts.
