  1. What are you needing?
  2. That diagram is wrong.
  3. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Get a set of "746" Volvo injectors. Ebay or from Programbo on Cherokee forum.
  5. It's because the injector itself is leaking at a crimp.
  6. Shouldn't need to burp it. Why don't you convert to 97 and later heater hoses while you're at it and ditch that heater control valve?
  7. Swap your turn signal flasher in the fuse box with the hazard flasher there and see what happens.
  8. Used 97 heater hoses. One thing though. The Renix Jeeps had a straight fitting coming up from the water pump and a curved heater hose there. HOs had a curved fitting from the water pump and a straight heater hose. Fortunately this 88 has a curved fitting on the water pump. Coolant recovery bottle is temporary. 10. Good points^^. More info is needed. Keep in mind that a poorly sealing cap on the bottle will allow quick overheating. Use a Napa 703-1396 as a replacement.
  11. Also, click on the link in my signature below and do Tips 1 through 5 if 1987 to 1988 or 1,3,4, and 5 if 89 or 90. Keep this in mind. The plugs, wires, cap and rotor were 30,000 mile maintenance items.
  12. Get a mechanic's stethoscope and poke around. The Renix Jeeps were not prone to skirt breakage. That came with the HOs. Auto trans? Could be loose flexplate bolts.
  13. What were the results of Tip 5?
  14. Update: Before the seals arrived from Team Cherokee, I added some fasteners to hold the existing "wind strips" to the A pillar eliminating the gaps. Huge difference and this XJ already has the 97+ seals. Added the Team Cherokee pieces the next day. No noticeable improvement.
  15. Yes. Don't use it in a daily driver.
  16. 18. Why a trans Power switch? Ever seen this? Bypassing the Power/Comfort Switch on a Renix Jeep Remove and unplug the switch. In the harness are 3 wires One has a stripe, one is tan, and the other black. Make a 4" jumper wire with a male spade at each end. Plug one end in the cavity for the tan wire and the other in the cavity for the striped wire and you'll be in permanent Power mode. Stuff the harness back in and reinstall the switch for looks. If you happen to have a 91 or 92 XJ/MJ and it has the Power/Comfort switch, just jumper the Tan and Blue wires in the harness plug. NEVER include the black wire when jumpering!!!
  19. Junkyard run for what? Not a heater control valve I hope. Eliminate it.
  20. Just get this: http://macsradiatorshop.com/surge-overflow-tanks/replacment-jeep-radiator-fill-tanks-366.html I fixed everything in my cooling system and it still overheated until I got one of those aluminum tanks. I did that on one of my 3 Renix Jeeps. It frickin started leaking!! Same week that a plastic replacement on another one took a crap.
  21. Get rid of the heater valve while you're at it.
