Correct. Since it's an 88, Tips 1 through 5 should be done soon also. 27 is now one of my favorites over #2.

Was the old one soaked in oil? If so, I'll bet you have some leaks to fix.

That's one of my MJs. #16. I had 13 of them as demos at the dealership and have owned 3, still have 2. 3" lift is about it. I bought it in very poor condition. My 90 is really nice.

Don't think I can get the rear end that high. Huh? Thought you meant jack the rear end up like that in your pic and pump it 40 times. Cause I have read somewhere when bleeding to raise the rear end up higher and I didn't try that. Nah. Just sit in it and do that. LOL.

Try this: Pump the clutch pedal about 40 times and walk away for 10 minutes.

Do Tips 1 through 5, along with a tuneup including plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Make sure your intake manifold bolts are snug. Closely inspect the MAP sensor tube.

Pull the spark plugs, unplug the cPS and crank it over.

That's at the big wire at the starter. Nothing happens unless there is battery voltage at the little wire and the solenoid is good.......

If you turn the key from On to Start and the battery gauge doesn't drop down, you're getting no power to the starter.
