  3. Unplug the TPS and see what happens.
  4. You still driving that? I thought you sold it.....
  5. Okay, so one of the reasons you have trouble clocking the TPS is that it is a modified set-up. What is your vacuum source for the MAP? .81 volts should be fine. A bad TPS shouldn't cause acceleration issues though.
  6. I like that term. 'imperial common knowledge'
  7. Flexplate could be cracked.......................

  9. Why do you need to break it in? New cars don't need that......
  10. Low ball them.
  11. Ask away. Check out my website for easy and helpful tips.
  12. I think the indicator is out of an 86 or earlier with the NP229 case.
  13. Great. Glad to hear. You should really do Tips 1 through 5 when you have an hour or so.
  14. Yup^^. http://cruiser54.com/?p=110
  15. Get an infrared point and shoot thermometer. Always useful.
  16. Hmmm, but what if it is glowing way before it gets any where before being warmed up?
  17. Your friendly local Napa should have the radiator for $107. Think ease of warranty etc. The recovery bottle is a 730-4514. Good time to replace heater hoses and eliminate the pesky heater control valve. Napa hoses for a 97 and later XJ are preformed and correct end sizes. Think about putting a full cluster in at some time.
  18. If you're poor, don't go with Mac's. Get a new radiator for the open system that has the bung for your e-fan switch and get a cheapo recovery bottle.
  19. what happens if you unplug it and drive?
  20. what happens if you unplug it and drive?
  21. If you have the metal sockets, try to get the plastic ones. I used the taillight sockets from the XJs I part out.
  22. See if you have power to one side of the brake light switch. It's never a bad idea to check the taillight ground. better yet, do this: http://cruiser54.com/?p=249
  23. Got the TPS wet. Probably toast, but you can try spraying out the connectors with electronics cleaner. Go to www.cruiser54.com and do Tip 5 before anything else.
