Thats funny, cause I'm pretty sure I'm running Streets & Trips 2008 running via a Lawrance receiver. Your about 20 years off...

Your sig says it's an '86 with the 4.0L. The '86 never came with that option so I'm assuming that someone swapped it in at somepoint. Give us some more info on what you have as far as the motor/tranny combo goes. It the lights work and it won't even crank I'd check to see if you have power to the starter. If it's an auto (Aw4) it may be the NSS. Try putting the tranny in (N) and see if it turns over.

Ok this is not a sirius antenna, but it's the antenna for my GPS on my XJ. I ran the wire threw a hole in the firewall, than ran the wire along the main wire loom and out to the location. It's got a magnetic base, thus why it's on the hood and not on the plastic wiper panel. Either location would work though. I do get a lot of questions "what's that round thing on your hood for?" though...

Yes the rears flares on my MJ are TJ rear flares. I will say it was a MAJOR pain to install them. They turned out OK, but if your a perfectionist this is a project that I'd probably tell you to not do. I planned on running rear TJ flares on the front as well, but have never gotten to it due to the major pain that the rear one's were.

I also belong to the "cut rear lower quarter club". I will say if you offroad your MJ at all, you'll like having them gone.

Call me crazy but I just can't see spending the $$ on the TJ Rubi D44. It's not even a "real" D44. It just has the D44 center, with D30 outers. It's not that much strong, if any honestly... The D30's weak point is not the center, it's the outers. So going with a TJ Rubi D44 isn't really solving any issues. Your better off dropping the $$ you'd spend on the D44 into the D30 thats already under your Jeep and making it stronger. The end result for the same money will be a stronger axle than the D44 is...

I'd spend the money on Eric's XJ Builders Guide. I know it's fairly somewhat XJ specific but it relates well to the MJ's. Heck Pete's MJ even makes an appearance in it...

Funny you should say that.... I could probably trip over the stuff in the woods and still wouldn't know what the heck it is. On the other hand one of my good friends works for the ISP (Indiana State Police) and part of his job is flying around in a chopper looking for it. According to him your right, a good amount of the stuff is grown even in our area. Kinda sad really...

rear fender trimming?
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW replied to redneck23ms's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Your best bet is to do the "cut and fold" method. You simply make some relief cuts in the metal, and fold it over on itself. This way your not separating the 2 panels and you can get much more clearance this way. I'll try to dig up some pics to show what I'm talking about... -
Q-Logic makes (or at least used to) 2 different version's of them. The early version will fit the 84-96 XJ/MJ and has the hole for the e-brake stuff. They are a popular upgrade for guys who go doorless, so finding a used set has proven to be VERY hard. New is a little pricey if you ask me for what they are...

I've been VERY happy with my Golen 4.6L Stroker. http://golenengineservice.com/html/jeep_off-road.html Now the AW4 on the other hand.... I've now on my 4th one and it has no 1st or 2nd and no Reverse after the last wheeling trip. I've got 1 more good low mileage one sitting here that will go in. If I toast that one I'm doing a modded 700r4.

That is one scary looking XJ...
