  1. You got that right. It's pitiful, and disgusting.
  2. :agree: I have also taken them to a car wash. Soap it up, rinse, Works good. On car washes, if you can find one for big trucks they have hotter water and more pressure. Only use on later cars with insulation in good shape and never on older cloth insulation or your gonna have a engine bay full of shiny copper wire, No insulation.
  3. If I can't do road side repairs on a vehicle with a pair of pliers and a screwdriver, then I don't want it. All the cup holders, airbags, power seats, power windows, ECU'S etc., etc, isn't doing you a bit of good if your sitting alongside the road with the hood raised waiting for a tow truck, which was probably automatically called for by the Emergency On Board Monitoring system. And as long as I'm on the subject, contrary to what the rabble rousing propagandists spew out, the world IS flat. What do you think happened to all those ships missing at sea? :fs2:
  4. Did you hear about the proud father that spent $125,000 sending his kid to college? All he got was a quarter back .
  5. Winners laugh and joke. Losers cry 'shut up and deal'
  6. So if on the kick off, the ball goes thru the goal posts, is that a field goal? or a TD' Warped minds want to know. Green Bay 24-13
  7. If you get the surface clean it will stick. I use a brillo pad or steel wool. In almost every case I've seen where JB didn't hold it was because the surface wasn't clean.
  8. JB loves heat. A heater core or hose isn't going to bother it. Just make sure you let it cure, at least 24 hours if possible, before using. If you could reshape the tubing back to round would be better but like you said, there would be the danger of breaking the tube core joint.
  9. A little short of data here. What year? engine? 4 or 5 spd tranny? There is no way broken clutch pieces can enter the trans. Sounds like a synchro busted to me.
  10. There is no difference between '87 and '88 wiring.
  11. They were all rebuilts. From Taiwan. I thought that for $139 it would be a new one but it wasn't.

    I wish...

Me too. Also got a bedless.
  13. I just got through replacing the CMC on my '89 MJ, to late as it already gummed up the fuse panel. As a safety precaution I inspected the rest of the fleet, 12 MJ'S, 8 XJ'S found a leak on a '88MJ but caught it in time. No damage done. I have always preferred rebuilding my components to buying rebuilt. Checked the price at Auto Zone, $29.95 for rebuilt CMC. $27.95 for rebuild kit. Is that asinine or not? $2 diff. There are 3 AutoZones in Pueblo. Each had one CMC in stock and weren't ordering replacements. I got all 3. Oh yes, Checked a Jeep discount parts store online. They had them for $139.95. Pays to shop around. Jim
  14. Rob, So how come you always pick beautiful, nice looking trucks over my crappy, ratty looking ones? Favoritism? Or just good taste? Take it easy out there, Jim :thwak:
  15. They suggest that anyone traveling in the current icy conditions should make sure they have the following: Shovel, Blankets or sleeping bag, Extra clothing including hat and gloves 24 hours worth of food De-Icer Rock Salt Flashlight with spare batteries Road Flares or Reflective Triangles Gas Can First Aid Kit Booster cables I looked like an idiot on the bus this morning
  16. Gas in the exhaust is my guess. Maybe one of the sensors in the exhaust system is sending erroneous signals to the ECU, or a faulty, leaky injector. Whatever it is, it isn't good as it can blow the guts out of the Cat and or muffler.
  17. When your chasing coyotes across the prairie it gives the troops in back something to hang on to. Also makes a fine gun rest.
  18. Well lets hope I don't kick off anytime soon!!!! Cause your 100% right it'd be sent to china in the form of raw material... 91-92 Elims could be had with the long bed. :brows: Personally JT, me thinks you'll never need to use it being in NC. Sell it to a brother up North who really needs one. But don't give it away (knowing you that will never happen), get your price mate. lol... I wouldn't burn anyone,, but I can't give it away as good shape its in.. I mean its a pretty much flawless bed,, paint is even good.. IDK Don... Just wish I had the vision I once did... Just seem lifes geting in the way of playing... We don't quit playing because we get old. We get old because we quit playing.
  19. If your not going to use it, let someone have it that will. The biggest problem with hoarding is when the hoarder kicks off, all the next of kin sees is a big pile of junk, so it either winds up in the dump or the scrap yard.
  20. Better stay away from them Renix engines. Out of the more than a dozen MJ, XJ I got in the yard, not one of them has gone over 300,000 miles, But they're workin on it. Jim
  21. The lecture scheduled for tonight at the town hall by Dr Hans Conreid,MS,BS,Phd, noted lecturer, physicist, Alarmist and general rabble rouser on Global Warming has been canceled. When asked by a reporter if the cancellation was due to the weather he was told by the good Dr to go perform a self administered sex act upon hisself. :smart:

I use a cork. Doesn't vent but if i need a vent i remove the cork. When I first started reading your post i thought you were going to rant about them asinine pour spouts they're putting on gas cans now. Takes a half an hour to empty 5 gal of gas. If you can figure out how to operate the d*mn thing.
  23. I'd save my money so I could get the donor sooner.
