  1. Good thinking!
  2. I didn't want to thread jack. The springs on my Yota are off some SUA truck, and when I flex, they become perfectly flat. I want to get more flex out, so I was gonna pull another leaf, but that'll invert em. Is inverting springs bad? If not, screw it, I'll trim the fenders up some more.
  3. Livin on the West coast is nice. My '84 is rust free, and so is my Manche! Someone should photochop this together if they ever have time, just so we know what it'd be like!
  4. Here's a bunch of pics of it. It's called the Cheromanche. There's info on it out on some site where I got the pics, but I don't remember where. It was awhile back.
  5. Lol... We have a Comanche about 3 roads down, and cherokee is the street next to me in Bend, OR. I... may or may not... have these signs in the garage... And, please, don't b*@$£ at me about it. I'm a dumb kid.
  6. Kickass .gif! I'm nearing the end of buying parts for mine now, and we've got about $4000 or $4500 dumped into it, doing all the work ourselves. So all know, that's a new engine, rebuilt tranny, tires, suspension, brakes, windshield, sterio, metal for building, degreasers, and all that stuff. Buy something nice! Or, if you enjoy building something up, buy something crappy!

If it's on the '07 Wrangler platform, it'll be with a straight axle! I was real dissapointed in the Patriot. [i think that's the one (turned out like a minivan)]
  8. Bags, or t-bars? Also, did you decide what you're doing for an engine and tranny yet? Badass.
  9. Eww! Toyota!! :teehee: If you modified your bed mounts it'd mount, although it may look as if your bed has a body lift on it. You may need 2 Toy beds to graft together to get the wheel wells to reach where they should be, but that's just an assumption. It'd be original!
  10. I wasn't thinking when I bought my last set. They were the same diameter as my pinky (and I'm a lil guy)
  11. Bumpstops?
  12. I know it's a lil extreme for a normal person to do, but my Grandma has one of those handicap vans that a person in a wheel chair can go up the ramp with and such. In the van, the entire floor has been dropped maybe 6". Don't know if the Comanche's uniframe's in the way, and it'd probably be way more work than it's worth, but there'd be no head room issue like that.
  13. Is that 1/4 elliptical rear? It's weird seeing an MJ with a good departure angle.
  14. Someone on here mentioned that there are sliders available on EBay, so maybe check for solid ones there.
  15. My springs seem fine and they have that gap.
  16. Haha, those are badass! Those look like spendy flaps!
  17. A mudflap ticket is whole different animal, compared to copyright infringement. I guess I live life on the edge.
  18. x2 on the question. Does Rusty make bad LCAs?
  19. I'm guessing there may have been a problem somewhere... :dunno:
  20. laughin that thing isn't gonna last as a daily driver, my gut tells em. Are you mounting the leaves far enough forward that you don't loos any approach angle with a winch (as in the winch tray is the front leave hangers crossmember)? That's what it sounded like.
  21. Are you running mudflaps, Pete? I'm not, and it's not legal. I'm not worrying.
