A bad TPS will pretty much screw everything up. You can snag one from the JY, and hope that it's not bad as well, or get one from the stealership for an arm and a leg. That's all I have to chime in.

Thought came to mind just now. If you don't want 3 inches (which a bunch of brands make coils in that size), and only 2 inches, with no spacers, drop in the Wrangler coils and see how much they drop you, and get Wrangler lift coils that'll total 2 inches for the MJ. :dunno:

Supposedly it's close enough to swapping discs onto a d35 that you can use the same tutorial. A friend is looking to do the swap to his '99 XJ. You basically need everything off a ZJ Grand Cherokee, including the brake proportioning valve. I can send you a .pdf if you want it.

Spin the alternator and make sure the bearing's not bad in it. Check your belts. My engine was so fubared, I don't know what's bad on normal 2.5s. Check your heater valve. I dunno what else.

How do the hydraulics work?

Has anyone thought about taking advantage of the two back lines being seperated, and making cutting brakes? In case you don't know what they are, they use em in sand rails, and it's a brake that'll just lock up one tire, to turn sharper. They also use em in dirt track cars, but the system's way complex for those. I had talked with some people before about using it like a locker with an open diff. When your back left tire is in the air, an open diff will transfer all power to that tire, meaning the truck has no forward motion. Applying the back left tire's brake, the back right tire now has the ability to move!

Found mine this morning and I got all giddy!

This is a BIG picture, sorry: My '86 has popsicle stick adjusters on both sides.

It was just a regular ol' 2wd MJ that was painted all white (with housepaint no less). It's currently in the final stages of the 4wd conversion by it's new owner. Was it ALL white? I was thinking of it being kinda ridiculous.

Stock '86 doors. Those look like the XJ mirrors to me. Yes, 4 door XJ doors bolt right up.

We used the bumpstop for compressed length, and hung the axle for extended length.

IMO, they're fine for a rice burner. Don't know any MJs that burn the rice though... yet...

Pics would be helpful to the uber power. May end up useing two part epoxy, if it won't mount to that lip.

My wrist is scared of my Toyota's wheel cause of the friggin steering whip that thing has. I suppose a dual set-up would help that a bit, but it's going hydraulic.

How's the 350 on 31s feel?
