And I don't much compares to you "frame repair", which from what I understand was more of a replacement. Is anyone actually gonna buy this thing? It'll only take half a spot in the garage...
-
It's ready to go!
-
yes, and a lot better to see with too. Alex Yeah, I'd figure on the sight thing with it planted in one's face.
-
Yeah, rear shocks for a a Super Duty with 10" of lift or something along those lines have 13" of travel no matter the brand shock you go with. Also, something like 12" of travel for an old fullsize Chevy with 10" of lift. That is, if you need something that long/have the space, and want a cheap shock.

Are the big style mirrors really placed that far back?
-
Already chopped for a truggy! And it was a 2wd anyways, so no big deal that the drivetrain's gone.
-
Def disturbed by that second pic.

Nice job on the shock mounts. As for the shocks, are you running ones you selected by compressed and extended length, or are they a standard lift shock? My dad wants to get me those Rusty's 4" springs, so I was looking through your pages again with him. As you know, your work to me is quite impressive, but my dad was really blown away. Keep it up!

13B rotary. Turbo preferred with IFS. My '78 Yota's going rotary, but only a 12A, and I'm working funds for fuel injection and turbo. It's the number 2 truck on the priority list, behind the Comanche. Even the 12A naturally aspirated'll push that truck around crazy. A Comanche though, I'd say go 13B. -
I like the wheels as much as the body chop. I'm gonna have to research the JK beadlocks. Didn't realize they had em. Thanks for the info, John!

That takes huge cajones or crazy deep pockets right there.

Dunno, tried that with coilovers before. Got em for $50 for the set, and since I didn't have their history, no one would give me anything for em. I wasn't into fabbing suspension like I am now, so they went to the trash and I was out fifty bucks. I will check em out. Wouldn't mind me a boat anchor in the front of a truck if I'm getting that big of a break. Anybody in the area need one? -
PLEASE tell me how he got replacements!!! I have kept the bad one I have as its almost brandy new!! CW He contacted ProComp directly, told them the situation (it was ice, ICE, that ripped them both open), they apoligized and sent him his new tires. He had less than 500 miles on them at this happening. If you get the same service, you've got yourself an extra tire! If it wasn't for his experience, I wouldn't have bought the tires off of him. Too much lave rock around here.

 This truck's comin out awesome

Hey, I was just bringing this back because I tried fitting 14s on a Cherokee the other day. The only way to fit a 14 is with very little (1.5" maybe) backspacing. The 14s were fitted on a friend's '99 Cherokee to get it on a trailer to the JY. They rubbed the caliper quite badly, to the point of almost no motion, but it got on the trailer. -
Factory fender flares
feerocknok replied to The Detailer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When I first joined the forum, there was a debate over this, so I pulled a 2dr, 4dr, and MJ flare at the junkyard. Like Pete said, it's a no-go here. -

 U-Pull-It here has a bunch of 60s front and rears and they ask $100 brake-to-brake. You guys are crazy. -
For a 3 pane? I just popped one off another Comanche with a screwdriver and had the windshield guy epoxy it on. Looked like a Chevy clip I had would've worked too.

Thought I seen a GM shackle??
feerocknok replied to CEThomas's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No, they're too drop a Chevy truck 2" but will lift an MJ about 2". I think stock Chevy shackles are about .25" shorter eye-to-eye stock than MJ shackles. I've got a set in the garage that I can measure. -
This is on NAXJA about 49o8754209875 times, but for some reason never came up here. I contacted a guy in Japan to hook me up with parts, and I was supposed to hook him up with parts so that I could convert my truck and he could fix his older Jeep, but he eventually backed out of the deal. I'm a lil sketchy about overseas business anyways, so I'm not too hurt about it. My understanding is that this company builds a version of the Cherokee that has very lax tolerances, creating an unreliable vehicle that the doors may or may not line up on. Chrysler is not involved in the making of this Jeep. And my Photoshop came out poorly so I won't embarrass myself posting it.
-
Are those 97+ doors or does the center divider and triangle glass just come right out? Those came out super clean.
-
let us all know when that one comes out. Alex He still has to swap the 9" in the rear, get the thing ready for paint, and work out some interior things. Guess he doesn't like starting it with a screwdriver...
