  1. what is redefineds up high mean? and they are euro tails, they were on it when i bought it, but i kinda grown to like them I type/speak strangely, and I think I spelt that 'r' word improperly. I like the look of the new style (redefined) Cherokees lifted (up high). I'm starting to get used to seeing euro taillights in town. I use to throw a tantrum about them being for Hondas, but they can really accent a Cherokee nicely in the proper application.
  2. I like the redefineds up high. Are those euro taillights?
  3. Well, I have one, so  Helps when you're not sober to make sure the alchyhol didn't get the best of you.
  4. Since the Scout is carbed (educated guess), it'll only require something like 3 wires to run, so basically the computer goes bye-bye. For clarification, I'm talking Scout motor, tranny, t-case. It seems like your basic body swap, like a Yota cab on a Bronco frame, only with a little more saw work.
  5. Dirty did mention stiffer springs being a helper in the fight. I definitely agree with that, no matter the rest of the suspension design. One of my trucks the other day lifted the rear end off the ground (just an inch or so) while coming to an emergency stop and downshifting. My rear end was very light, but also, my spring are like butta. I almost pooped as me rear end was walking away from me. Anyways, yeah, common trade off. On-road manners or off? I prefer off-road manners that are good enough to keep myself and the people around me safe while on-road, and I feel long-arms will still keep safety in mind.
  6. Changing out your front too? Modern retreads hold up rather well, but the back in the day, they weren't good at all for a passenger car. The bad reputation is still held for what they used to be. Do you have any suncracking on your sidewalls? Are the chunking? What brand and any idea on how old? That middle seat doesn't have Any padding anyways. I'm tempted to toss mine. Did you go with MJ ones? Kassidy
  7. What about just using one from a different style truck?
  8. I like the use of an iPod to play back the video. And I don't even trust friends to hold a wrench to my Manche. One of my Yotas, sure, but not my baby.
  9. NICE!! but.....now you guys got me thinking that i might go soa. what to do......what to do...... :dunno: Sell me the springs on the cheap?
  10. You don't think the 9'll take it?
  11. That's super trick, but what is missing from the dash now?
  12. If only it were human. I'm yet to see one in a truck.
  13. Yeah all of that. It's really not hard, but I was taking the "negative road" as to what someone could see it as.
  14. I have to remember that: Since everyone's doing it, it must be safe. :brows: I follow the crowd and jump off the bridge with em. What can I say?
  15. I'll take the negative road on this one. Front axle swaps suck while working alone. The axle's heavy, and the control arm bolts never want to line up. Alone, it takes me ~3.5 hours. With a helper, 2 hours. First time alone ~6 hours.
  16. I've seen enough radius arm set-ups on the road to feel comfortable with 3-link or radius arm front for myself. However, I've never driven one myself. Can't be completely unsafe or there'd be alot less of em on pavement.

    mp3 players

Do we have a bittorrent user on our hands? Maybe my favorite program of all time. I use my SLVR for mobile music. 512Mb cards, but the headphones are USB, so I'm yet to find a plug to use it in my truck. CD/MP3's in the truck anyways. i have the same phone. didnt yours come with a usb jack that you can plug headphones in? i use mine going to and from work since i can plug a cable into the usb adapter. Yeah, it came with headphones, and they connect through the mini USB port, but my stereo doesn't accept USB and I'm yet to find a USB plug that converts to a stereo 1/8" cable. Have you found one?
  18. LS1 is a 346 c.i. v-8. http://www.smokemup.com/tech/ls1.php
  19. Don't know if it got you, but the first time I pulled my axle, I didn't realize there was nuts on those bolts that weren't welded to the axle. You were holding the otherside, right?
  20. You oughta make a mini stack on the back. A "mouse-tail".
  21. Dirty, you're talking about radius arm set-ups, right? My Yota will be radius arms next month because it's so basic.
  22. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=899457 I'll be going to long arms as this summer's project. Probably 3 link similar to this design: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... c&start=15
  23. I've only used a plasma once and oxy about 4 times. The oxy wasn't very clean, and I know I wan't using the plasma properly, cause it wasn't very clean either. My pops loves the sawzall and I'm an angle grider guy. With an angle grinder and a good set of gloves, nothing can stop me.
  24. I have the HF spring compressor and never use the safety clips. I've never had issues and have used it a dozen+ times. Just always lubed the threads real well and made sure that both compressors were compressing evenly. Glad you got everything figured out though
  25. Haven't had the chance to check it out with our thunderstorms yet, but I got a replacement cable from the dealership for $34 months ago. It was labelled CruCbl or something, so the guy at the parts desk and I agreed that it was the cruise control cable, which I needed, but when it arrived, it was the speedo cable. They had a no return policy on special orders, No exceptions (dicks), so if it did break, I've got a new one. Didn't realize that was common though.
