I'd be down for a trip to yer casa! Central jersey is only 2.5-3 hours from me and hopefully I'll have my truck back on the road sometime soon!

Luckiest man on the face of the earth!
-
Do not dare scrap a MJ unless it is wrecked beyond recognition, cut out the bad weld in new metal
-
Found my new floorboard sitting on the side of the road, I wonder why the fedex man left it there for me :hmm:  Been saving up for curries 1ton steering and balljoints should be arriving soon I hope! Then I'll order the longarms and borrow my friends 35" mtrs once I get the 4.56s and lockers installed! Almost there I can feel it!

Broken Lower Shock mount + more

:agree: clean it up reallllll good then take pics of it welded back on :wrench: -
I helped a friend convert his 2door 2wd XJ to 4wd in his driveway, you'll need lots of jacks and jackstands to make things easier, once you get the drivetrain in it's basically something most people could do with some wrench knowledge! I say go for it Good luck!

Still got it, my dad drove it off the lot :D she's currently sitting in my driveway awaiting lots of parts and love
-
Got mine from jegs I think they were 17-18 shipped too

Get 95 YJ lines up front and 95 Dakota rear, problem solved and it's not as expensive :D
-
Can't wait to see some pics of it in action! Love your truck man

33x12.50 on 2 inch lift?
Dirteatr717 replied to MJ_Trav's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I did it, just cut up front and bumpstop accordingly and you'll be fine! There's pics on my 3rd or 4th page of my build -
Made up some door pins yesterday and tacked them onto the soft doors, fits pretty good! Maybe later today I'm going to finish up the driver side! Here's pics from yesterday :wrench: Just bent some 3/16" rod I had laying around and made the bottom a tad longer so it didn't rest on the striker. It was really easy and if you guys want soft doors get YJ ones and make em work :D

My friend has a set of 4.88s he would give me but I'd be screaming down the highway! I'll prob end up getting the 4.56s and I can also get a great deal on a set of 5 35" Mtrs so well see what the future holds in store for me! But for now I have soft door pics for you guys! Doorless :D Just a mockup pic, the yj soft doors are about an inch too short so I'm going to either bend the pins that are welded on there with some heat or just weld pins onto those for an extension making the latch still usuable!

Before you start pounding away why not give it some hear then spray some keyboard cleaner upside down at it! Makes it flex back into place, or so I've been told

How do you do a SOA for Dann 44
Dirteatr717 replied to littlezeeker's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had them made up at a spring shop and if you've ever taken the u-bolts an plate off there's a bent plate with a hump in it to make a 3rd contact point for the ubolt it won't wear into the plate...that's also a Cherokee top plate that I bought from a friend for 10 bucks.. I mounted the shocks like that for more down travel, the longer the shock the more down travel. It's worked great for me so far -
A bent right handlebar, a dent in the tank where your right knee would be and a dangling blinker.... It seems like someone jumped it?

Any Ideas or suggestions

I bought the autopal h4s for 60 from motionoffroad they're a direct replacement and were a big upgrade from my stock ones! :waving: -Nick -
How do you do a SOA for Dann 44
Dirteatr717 replied to littlezeeker's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Here's how I set mine up using rough country nitro shocks for 6" of lift and it performs flawlessy! I used a 95 Dakota rear brakeline and redid all the hardlines and everything was set to go :wrench: -
yet another lift/tire question
Dirteatr717 replied to raviolli's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've done it... Not impossible at all I even wheeled my truck like that and it performed very well! Made it over everything guys with 5.5" lifts 33s and longarms with lockers were making ... You don't need 8 feet of lift! Look on my 2nd to last page on my build thread -
What ac? :fs1: I'll measure them today and see what other cables will work
-
That's an entire vw beetle..... And the second pic is a motor and various other poop i hauled to the scrapyard... In total that run weighed in at 700 pounds and 3 wimpy kids got that darn oldsmobile I6 motor filled with dirt for extra scrap mula in my bed!
-
That's a good idea too but all the rubber bumpers on the inside of the bed between the tailgate are crushed so it would still move around a lot so instead of beating around the bush I'm just going to rip that fn bush out of the ground :D or said tailgate and try to find cables
-
Hey guys I was walking through the isles of my local advance auto and they had tailgate cables and that gave me an idea! Why deal with those annoying rattling folding straps! Has anyone used cables before and if you did where did you get them Thanks - Nick

I grew up in a waggy, going to soccer practice and being driving to school in one makes me somewhat partial to them but they do look AWESOME with 33s
