Thanks! It was...rough when i got it. multiple layers of paint, moldy interior, bad seals. Thanks! Yeah, its unique for sure. Never seen one like it! And I needed a truck for the bikes and whatnot. Got a call from my friend tonight- apparently a guy came and didnt scoff at the crazy number I left him with. Never expected it! Now that somebody expressed interest, I really don't want to consider selling it.

Wow, that thing really is cool!! I can only imagine the fun with the stick shift and KB. What do those have for a rearend? I know you said save it, but I'm going to give it anyway- Get it dynotuned! Cost 350 to have my mustang done (with pump and E85 tunes), and well worth the piece of mind.

This project is way different than my 02 mustang or 69 chevelle Well, I needed a different number- 10,12,18, and 29 were wranglers in the movie. I was going to do 07, but a friend of mine nabbed it first. Then I saw 25 was open, and my grandmother had been born in 1925. She had always encouraged my cousins and I to do wild things, and not to be afraid to be different. So I thought it was fitting!

So I bought my Comanche way back in august 2015. Well, technically I sent my buddy a check to buy it. I didnt see it until the next march- I drove it 80 miles over a weekend, and then sent it to paint. It finally came out a few weeks ago, and I saw it for the first time since it went in saturday (I was on a photo embargo, courtesy of the same friend). I would have never guessed it was the same truck. When I got it (after painting over the star on the hood) And today Will some of you hate it? Sure. But I wanted to build it, and I needed a truck more than a wrangler. Still needs some work- interior for sure. Bend/weld the door hinges. And rollbar, 4wd swap, and real exhaust. The engine has a slight intermittent knock at idle, so it may get a new oil pump and crank bearings when the oil pan gasket goes on. And figure out why the factory radio is dead, along with the 3/4 cluster I bought. But not bad for 900 bucks. not bad at all.

Hey guys, I need some help with the door hinge repairs. My drivers side is pulling away, and sits about 1/4-1/2" out from where it should be closed. I am going to get one of the reinforcement plates from Hoonigan off road for that. What else is involved? Do I need to bend in the hinges so it will fit properly again? Or will there be any adjustability? The passenger side needs the welds too, but it won't need any more adjustment.

I always dug these- had a chance to get a light blue one with 34k years ago, was asking 4400 bucks.

Are they making a 2-door? That link is from back in June, before the spy shots and leaked computer info. I havent seen any definitive 2-door info.

Id completely join in on this, now that I nearly have my truck back. At least until the salt flys.

I suppose I would be! It was the auction listing- 25 bucks to my door. Buttons are perfect, no chipping or worn numbers! More then I can say for my moms nearly-new german car. Sadly I can't test it until I get down to GA next month. Thanks- I might need it if it doesnt work! Or on how to add an aux input.

As always, the internet has proven to be a bad influence. After reading the thread on stock radios, I realized that I couldn't have my Sony headunit anymore. I'm building my truck as it would have been done when new, and the radio stuck out like a millennial sore thumb. So on to E-bay, and my latest purchase. The seller claimed it worked- lets hope it does! The amp is from a family member, and is setup to route the stock speakers into.out of (and I'll replace those). The twin 8's I am not sure will fit, but free is for me! Most likely get a set of stock size all around. I just hope this radio works better (read: at all) than the era-correct CB I bought. And the truck is getting so close to done. Been in paint since last may.

If I go to the homepage or click on 'forums' at the top, it says " Sorry, there is a problem That page does not exist. Error code: 2T251/4 " Anyone else having this issue? I have to find a link to a thread thats linked, and go through there.

Wouldn't that one also not work on a renix model? Sometimes I really wish i had waited for a 91 comanche to come up- but I doubt it would have been rust free and 900 dollars.

Dual-battery was brought up, or upgrade to an optima at least. Won't the renix have trouble with 91+ alternators, since they have an external regulator?
