  1. If your sticking with rubber/poly at both ends... every brand is pretty much the same. It's the heims that you really have to pick and choose with.
  2. Original clutch fan was going out. And I broke my fan shroud. So I wasn't cooling too well anymore. Swapped it out of an electric fan. And it worked alright but still wasn't very happy with it. So I'm trying out a ZJ- "severe duty" clutch fan. Got it at carquest for about $40. And is said to be 90% efficient, Versus the XJ/Mj 60%. It is noticeably more stout. And has the same bolt pattern. Just waiting on my new shroud to come in the mail and I'll be doing the swap over.
  3. that's cool but did they have to make it look like a kids bounce house?
  4. about as wide as the wheel wells. find a box that fits in the wheel wells and you should be perfect.
  5. I think your lift is your whole issue... just my thoughts. you could notch the axle, (I wouldn't), or notch the control arms in that contact location to get them to clear/fit. personally id just give up on the WJ arms and get tubular replacements.
  6. I like it, but I like weird vintage knick knacks.
  7. hmm interesting... only the factory WJ arms have that inward bend. all the aftermarket replacements even WJ specific exempt that feature.
  8. not bashing ya bud, theres no such thing as a stupid question. and knowledge is knowledge.
  9. Can I ask, why not use a more "traditional" angled/bent fixed/adjustable aftermarket control arm?
  10. I think the point of the matter is, nobody wants to be "that douche" as this is an area for helping and expanding knowledge of a common thing we all find a liking too. but many, MANY, of the questions and threads you've brought up can be pretty easily found using simple Google searches on their own rather then "wasting" everybody's time and effort.
  11. These are also very... uh... interesting. https://www.google.com/search?q=jeep+cherokee+led+headlight&client=ms-android-att-us&source=lnms&prmd=sivn&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiVy5jo_5XRAhUn04MKHZXnAQUQ_AUICCgC&biw=360&bih=512#imgrc=bwc195Ed18MdLM%3A
  12. I don't mind the trucklites. but I find most of the aftermarket headlights, whether halogen, hid or led to be incredibly hideous.
  13. yeah I think they were te drain/passthrough for the factory roll bars,
  14. My chevy express is closed. And all crown Victoria's are closed too.
  15. all said and done, I loved the concept of the heavy duty midsize, between the metric tons and the Toyota one tonners. and the duallys are just the icing on the cake. I had a set of flares come up a couple years back and I still regret buying them
  16. yes but you will get the smell of gas on hot days
  17. The big one on the side is your sending unit (fuel pump) you remove it by spinning that small retaining ring with the small edge standing straight just to the inside of those nubbies. The two small ones on top are your expansion/evap/rollover valves tat let the tank "breath" FYI don't break that sending unit, they don't reproduce them.
  18. It was offset from the factory for a reason comparative to every other 4.0 which is run off the water pump. There's not enough surface area centrally located to pull through the rather narrow radiator on these trucks. And not enough room to double up thicknesses on fans (mech over elec) thus the factory side by side mech-elec. You can try a double/triple elec fan set up. But plan on being in the multi hundreds for a decent set up.
  19. Clean truck. Congrats. The Great northeast has made mine not quite as pretty
  20. Duallys on these trucks is more just looks and hauling stability. As much as i may personally deny, Metric tons still arent a true 350/3500 so not a big gain from the duals.
  21. no picture, but its right inline with the header panel headlight harness/plug on the drivers front corner
  22. the eliminator was their "performance" trim model. not surprising someone set it up for what looks like a track kit. HD front trac bar, rear trac bar, spring stiffiners, rebound shocks, ect...
  23. I honestly prefer the vents.... its too large and plain without them.
  24. do you like to move when its -25 degrees? eh, neither does it! its not broken, its just grumpy.
