  1. Right place, right time. It's amazing how that works out for the best sometimes.
  2. I had always wanted a truck, but my parents strongly pushed me into getting something small with good gas mileage. All of my friends owned Jeeps, whether it was a XJ or a YJ, I knew Jeeps. So I did some research. I wanted a truck for the truck privileges (a bed) but also wanted a Jeep for the ease of working on it and abundance of parts. Low and behold I found my dream vehicle . :MJ 1: . . I looked and looked all summer and finally right before I went back to college in 08 I believe, I bought my first one and have been hooked since.
  3. Congrats! Definitely a Big beast, not mini. Very sweet rig
  4. I did just move and don't know the area as well. But at my old place I knew of 2 that I would see every month at least and 1 or 2 others that were a little more rare to see.
  5. I spotted a military green ish MJ yesterday on my way home from work in Christiansburg VA. First one I've seen in the area in a couple years if my memory serves me correctly.
  6. Wow. That is all.
  7. agreed. diy makes it soo much better
  8. Saw this the other day. Got a great laugh from watching it. Can't believe people are so stupid. Pool won big time too.
  9. I've had my truck as my desktop for a couple years so I decided to switch it up and it now rotates through all the pics on my computer
  10. Looks pretty sweet. Can't wait to see the finished product
  11. Congrats on cotm! Excellent looking rig.
  12. I've got a pair at my parents house that can be sold if other options for you fall through
  13. Very jealous you got to meet foose. Absolutely brilliant.
  14. Those pop up every once in awhile. Pretty neat. It'd be real cool to have one to stash in the bed of a real Comanche to stroll around when your not driving the truck.
  15. Great job by the guard dog. I'm sure you scared him off good when you flipped those lights back on.
  16. Go for it. It might be the best part of the 2 weeks. won't bother me any. The wife saw it on Pintrest and we made it into our own thing. Couldnt find a model MJ though :( and we all looked
  17. Then came the honeymoon: After a week in Jamaica, we met her parents at their new lake house for a day. Lake Lure NC And that long drive after a long flight was all worth it when I saw this near the dam at the lake . :MJ 1: .
  18. And this pic I felt deserves its own posting: And yes that is a print out of a Jeep wheel there.
  19. My life has finally settled down a little bit and it's time to get back to the important things (this forum  ) Over the past 2 weeks, Ive gotten married, gone to Jamaica on the honeymoon, visited the in-laws new lake house, and moved into a new place. Very, very busy and it will last for quite some time. Especially since I am looking for a new job at the same time. Thought Id share some pics with you guys because I know you've missed me (or I hope) Me and the wife My crazy groomsmen Bridal party's boots. We may be slightly redneck but I love it Das Boot How often do you see that at a reception.
  20. So jealous of that family. Looking good though.
  21. Just spotted a nice white mj in direct contact with dolph lundgren. Right in the middle of the screen too.
  22. I want
  23. great paint choice (mine is white as well. or at least mostly white) Congrats on MJOTM
  24. I had to test out the new tires and sure enough, while doing so, broke the bolt for the track bar on the frame bracket. I waited awhile to decide what to do, then I waited for the shipping, then I waited for my welding buddy to be back in town. Finally got to it this weekend. Broken bolt on the right side of the bar, somehow the nut started to back out. I guess the coder (??) pin decided it didnt want to be there any longer. drop bracket from TnT Heim joints from ruffstuff. I reused the axle mount from the Rustys track bar, easier than getting another bracket and having to move the steering stablizer mount and other stuff. All installed and ready for the next mini project
