congrats!

Thanks for the links, they will surely help when I get to that point.

And yes, going from mainly 92 front end, the red/yellow stuff in my pic are off an 86, to a 97+

does the washer bottle not fit or something? what would be a reason to replace that? Also, the wiring harness you're referring to is for the headlights right? I had heard that, assuming the plugs are slightly different but the wires are the same. all the hood lines are the same? Noted. won't need a new one then, thanks.

Ive been slowly piecing together a front end conversion. I have the grille, headlight bezel and marker lights. I now have a line on fenders and a hood, which would leave me with just missing a header panel. My question is what brackets do I need/mounting hardware for the newer fenders and hood. I know there is a bracket in the front for the new style fenders. Is that all I need? Its all going on my 92 that has mix matched front end parts already so it needs some updating.

Thanks for the link. Order has been placed. Hope it does more than the 23 year old seal on the truck now.
-
I did notice the seal wasn't in the best of shape. Where can I get a new seal or does universal stuff work?

I edited my original post. Rain leaks through something on the firewall. The clutch reservoir is full and I've never touched it. Rain is leaking in from somewhere and it looks like the spot at the clutch. Looking down below that where the fuse box wires go through the firewall doesn't look too bad. Seems like it's leaking around the clutch spot in the picture there.

I've been looking around for some time and can't find much on what I think is my leaking problem. After taking the fender off and looking under the hood and up behind the pedals it looks like the leak is coming from the clutch. Is that common? From the inside it looks like fusebox but from hood side there's rust around the clutch reservoir. Also, what's the best solution for stopping this leak? Rtv? Silicone? It is rain water that leaks through to the floor board under the pedals.

Yeah, but it was worth it. Because I know you like racing. same for me. I was dragging at 6am trying to get out of bed and on to work. Great race though.

We now have a new way of getting to texas this summer. Just bought the wife a new to her car. It will get about twice the mpg she is used to getting in her f150. Now all we need is a place to live and a job for me and we are set.
-
I'm not too worried about the humidity. Living in central va my whole life I've gotten used to 99% humidity in the summer. The difference will be that its 100 in Texas vs 90 here. But I won't have to deal with 7 degrees like I did today and will again tomorrow.

Thanks. Her masters is educational psychology. She's getting that now. The phd program is something related. It's some long name. Cognition, creativity, instruction, and development. It's a mouth full I know.

Well, my life is going to change soon. My wife got accepted to a PhD program at Texas A&M today. So we will be moving halfway across the country this summer or next summer for the next 5 years of our lives. Only been to Texas once and the entire hour or so was spent in the Houston airport, so it's basically all new to me. Very exciting day for her, which means I'm excited. Isn't that how it works? The best part is that we will be looking for a house out there, which means more driveway space. That means I will finally be able to sleep close to my MJ once again. The past 9 months have been rough living 150 miles from my truck. I will be sure to try to meet up with the fellow MJers in the College Station area once we get there. I can't wait for the new opportunities that Texas will bring us. . :MJ 1: .

very cool idea. Expensive, yes, but convenience is never cheap.

 I want.

very cool. not going to set any speed records however

They really were. Cheap, reliable, and easy to work on trucks are perfect for the poor students. I used to be one, now I'm just a poor dude with a degree and a comanche. It makes for a nice floor mat if nothing else. Oh yea, welcome to the cult/club/whatever this the word of the day is.
