Direct bolt-on. It's an excellent upgrade from the MJ box.

I would like to be heading that way...Been trying to get up to Edwardsville, Il to pick up a shortbed bedliner and a front and rear bumper from a guy that had them on craigslist.

:agree: I have two and love them. I have owned Gerbers, Buck, and Kershaw's over the years, but the M16 line from CRKT tops them all!!!
-
The wiring should be there, just make sure you have good bulbs. In order to get them to light up you will need to get the vacuum switch that runs down to the cad on the front axle if you have a pre-92 axle.
-
That Willys looks great.....no rust holes!! You need to fix that thing up and cruise it around!
-
I used the same CPS. The plug on the B/A (2-pronger) is the Reverse lights...the plug on the passenger side of the AX-15 is the reverse lights as well. You have 2 options, splice them together or go a plug from the boneyard. My truck is an 89 and my donor was a 90 XJ, so I just swapped the plug where it connects to the wiring harness from the tranny...plugged right in!! Clear as mud?? Good Luck

Err, something you need to come clean about there 500? :peek: Great stuff....never thought this would turn out to be a coming out of the closet thread!!

Thanks for the reply...I was banging my head trying to figure it out

Nice rig, If you would have spent the $3800 two years ago, you would of missed out on all the fun and aggravation it is working on your own truck!! :D

 Wow...that is gorgeous!

I hope you carry a fire extinguisher on board!! -
Swapped headlight switches and dome lights go out when doors shut/on when open. That's with the switch in the center position. :???:

Installing the Euramtec B-pillar lights....having a brainfart. Did you guys use all 3 wires?? I put the hot pink wire to the larger spade connector and the door switch to the middle smaller spade, and regular ground to the small end spade. My light stays on in the middle position no matter whether the doo is open or close?? If I leave the ground wire off and put the door switch ground on the end it work in either switch position, but does not go out when door is closed?? Checked headlight switch and it seems fine?? :wall:

Also, the 3 bolts that hold the hub on from the back...I left them in, but threaded almost all the way out. I just wanted them in to keep the assembly from falling out onto the concrete when it broke free.
-
The only way I could get mine off was to use a sledghammer and hit the crap out of the outer edge of the hub. I was replacing with new so it didn't matter if the hub was beat on. It took a lot of grunt, but it finally started seperating then came off. Good Luck
-
I had to get the cotter pin seperate. My new hubs were from Oreilly's.

I have a 92...for $500 bucks you can't go wrong. My only question is...Why haven't you bought it yet?? :D

The BA-10 is a manual tranny that was in the MJ from 87-mid 89. It's easy to tell the difference/the BA-10 splits in half with bolts running horizontal to hold it together, also if you pull your shifter boot off the BA has 3 bolts holding the shifter in while the AX-15 has four. But the most important thing here is: :needpics: Welcome to the madness!! -
Nice...what parts store carries these?? Talking about the steering wheel...not the ball swapping :D
-
Wow. that is sweet

Took mine on a road trip to pick up some wheels and tires for the J-10...put about 130 miles on her. She did great
-
Sounds good...come on down :D Here's a shot of the wheels I picked up...working on a deal on the motor. Here's the whole fleet.
