  1. Yes that's it! Thanks guys! And a blind hole is one that doesn't go into anything
  2. There is a sensor on the bottom manifold side of the engine. I do not have a picture at this moment. The harness plugs in also plugs into the coolant temp and the o2. I do not know the name of it and need a new one as i destroyed mine taking the engine out. it screws into a blind hole. and looks like a temp sensor. i will get pics when i get a chance. Thank you in advance
  3. I have a 3/4 ton out of a Ford and it appears to be almost five inches wider (its missing a knuckle at the moment so i can't be for sure) the coil spring mounting point interferes with the knuckle and the pumpkin. I'm not sure about the one from a dodge.. I work at machine shop so i will be able to fab most of the piece there
  4. So my build has taken a turn with my purchase of 3/4 ton axles out of a 02 single wheel super duty. the font doesnt seem like it doesnt have enough room between the pumpkin and the knuckle to put the coil spring. I was thinking of using a coilover and four link in the front. The rear is simple as i am staying leaf. The ultimate goal is to turn this truck into a expedtion vehicle. So many back road and highway miles. I have read alot about people using coil overs and four linking them on xjs. but i want to know how road worthy it will be. Any advice is help full Edit: i am only trying to lift 4.5 maybe 5 I'm gonna stay between 33 and 35 tires.
  5. Thats a good looking truck and a really pretty pit. Welcome!!! . :MJ 1: .
  6. Thats kinda what i figured. the grey interior in my 90 had greasey finger prints in places i didnt even notice i touched. i guess a JY trip it is for now
  7. I said die i ment paint. also i think its spelled "dye"
  8. Yeah i want those and the A pillar ones as well. are those interchangeable with cherokee ones? Ive got my hands on a 2000 cherokee and was thinking of switching the interiors over...That being said i have a tan interior now which is in fantastic shape and seeing the prices of those panels my brain is saying "Hell yeah grab those things and lets get wrenching!!" but then my wallet is saying "Remember we are trying to do this on a budget..." If the stinkin JY would stay open longer i would have more time to go through the yard and try to find a MJ. I find that alot of them have tan/burgandy interiors. Ive never tried to use the XJ a pillars , I don't know . If you are planning on installing a 2000 Cherokee interior the color will be Agate , not grey . You can paint your interior pillar panels as an option , are you doing the complete conversion ? yes If i have been tossing the idea around for a few weeks now. and i have just got my hands on the donor cherokee for pretty cheap. the conversion doesnt seem to hard just a very large under taking. The idea of opening the door on a truck that is 27 years old and everything looking pretty modern in it just makes me drool. That being said i also don't much care for the tan thats in it now. I guess i could just swap the dash for a same model grey one and die the plastic.. Does the die actually stick? or am i gonna notice the tan wearing through after a year or two?

  12. I will be using a MIG to do this.
  13. Finally getting back around to working on this thing.. Time to tackle the rocker panel... I have NEVER EVER DONE THIS BEFORE!! So... lets see how this goes. Here it is. Not great but not that bad. Ground the paint off so i could see how bad it really was. Then began cutting. The whole thing was full of dirt. And a Mouse Motel. After grinding everything straight and smooth. Took some measurements and a piece of sheet metal that is thicker then the metal on the truck. But shouldn't happen again. I have coated the inside of the rocker with por 415 and began shaping the metal. I just bent the sheet metal using the table for the radius in the bend. I used a piece of flat stock on the front and back so the adjustables wouldnt scar the metal to bad. Doing this again i might use heat so it bends a little easier. (if this works out when i do it to the my other MJ i will do a write up) I have not got a chance to finish up yet. Got everything ready and was out of gas... Here is some pics of when i was mocking it all up. you can get the idea of what itll look like. I will cut it at the line and that were the wield will sit. its gonna look okay i am gonna lose the seam line at the cab corner. I'm getting excited and a little nervous about it. Once i get all the stuff and a good allotment of time so i can go slow and try my best not to warp like a flag in the wind.
  14. I am in the process of replacing a rocker panel. The battery is out of the truck already. I have already cut out the rot and am getting ready to start tacking. Do i need to unplug the ECU? I don't want to fry that thing. I will probably do it anyways. but would like to hear what other people say about it.
  15. Let us know i would be intrested, Wondering the same...
  16. yes those are the ones i have. I also have all the rest of the emblems, i will check for a custom one when i go out today
  17. I have a set of 4x4 emblems but i think they came from the side of the cab... Are they different?
  18. The gouges and dings really ruined it for me. i don't like them with the chrome stripes. the centers look good though
  19. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-Comanche-Cherokee-OEM-Turbine-Wheels-15-Inch-/282266401640?hash=item41b8637b68:g:MI4AAOSwEzxYNd3k&vxp=mtr Ive never thought about blasting them and then getting them powder coated! If i wasnt such a tight wad i would be all over these!
  20. I have a set of procomp shocks and they're pretty stiff

  24. Today as i was working in my workshop i decided to finally take the time and square my table saw blade up completely (which i have been working around for months, cause i was too lazy to fix it) so after noticing that not only was it not tracking straight that it wasnt 90 degrees to the table. so after contenplating for a few minutes of much to shim that side after removing the bolts. I remembered that i had some hood shims. The bolt fit perfectly through the middle hole. Any body used a jeep part to fix a non jeep item?
