Yeah I was speaking to him yesterday...Got a copy of a cut out for the reclocking online instead of buying the ring... If you need any part numbers let me know I got some for you... Already got all I need thanks and good luck. Won't start mine till after the Holidays.

Good deal. I've been scoping out Mnkyboy's and 89eliminator's builds for ideas myself. As for the clocking issue, take a physical look at free's setup.

Thanks. I got an Airtex from AutoZone. Honestly, I've never had a problem with them like others have. Now if I can figure out how to load a video, I have a sound clip of original exhaust system with new motor...
-
Lmao. Just my luck, the exhaust manifold cracked....

I will be making Jeep Beach next year. I always get two campsites at the KOA (enough room for three tents and three vehicles on each site) so anyone is welcome to have a spot there. With my discounts I only pay 100 bucks for three nights.

New motor is together and runs great! I love being asked if I swapped a V6 into it. Lol

4.5" lift with 31" tires.
outlaw star replied to outlaw star's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks! Looks good. -
I have a brand new set of 31x10.50R15s off of my old Xj and have a 4.5" lift (SUA) for my Mj. Question is what will the 31's look like with the 4.5" lift. If you try to Google, all you get is Xj pics.

Dang pics didn't load, round two.also picked up a transmission to rebuild.

Forget Cut-Out fender flares, we have Rust-Out fender flares. They're for those who want really extreme wheel travel. Lol

Yeah but that burns your data. SpectorMJ let me check tomorrow but I am pretty sure that I still have a complete Sirius set with a new antenna I can send you. I have unlimited. Lol. But, I used to have XM and thought it was good radio service.

My Sony works off of Bluetooth so I just use my Android with Pandora and I Heart Radio.

Project "sipsey": '88 Pioneer Long-Bed

Coming together nicely. An average paint job down here, if going with same/original color, costs 500-600 bucks. -
Crap...headliner was wayy too brittle and a little soggy from the small windshield leak. I got her drying out in my shed under two work lights. Once dry, I'm going to attempt to fiberglass a shell and go from there.
-
Finally got a day off so today, I'm redoing the headliner, coating the rims and cleaning up the interior.

jcr offroad or nates 4x4 rear mj bumper?
outlaw star replied to redwolf624's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Pretty sure the 4.0l won't either.Nates rear is through-welded tabs, You'll probably break the chain/rope long before it goes. havin the power to pull em off my be aint the issue, i'm just worried bout someone in my jeep club pullin my idiot self out of a mud rut and wankin me like last time, i got whip lash from it if that gives yall an idea of how bad he was wankin the jeep, also if i go somewhere on my own and get stuck but there's a truck there i'd like to have them pull me out if need be, Redwolf Only idiots who don't know how to properly recover a vehicle go yanking like a bat outta hell on a stuck vehicle. -
Thats about the average here too.

Rochester 2SE carburetor
outlaw star replied to redwolf624's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
4 liters is 244 cubic inches. Plug that into the formula, use 5,000 as the peak RPM, and do the math. But WHY would you use a carburetor on a 4.0L when the EFI is so much better? we don't know if the computer for the 4,0 works, just a back up option if it don't, Redwolf That's an expensive backup. You'll need a new fuel pump, because carburetors only want about 5 to 7 psi, not 40. You'll need a new distributor, because the one in the 4.0L Jeeps is controlled by the ECU. You'll probably need a new coil to go with the new distributor. And you'll need an intake manifold on which to mount the (expensive) new carburetor. I'd say you're looking at between $500 and $750, minimum, all to avoid buying a used or reconditioned ECU for a Renix 4.0L that you can probably find for $25. Doesn't sound like a great plan to me. that bein said eagle, could that be half the reason why my MJ runs like crap, the engine i put in it was a 2.8 out of a 93 sonoma and it was fuel injected, we used the distributor off the sonoma? Redwolf It may be a Chevy 2.8 and various style GM sensors but Jeep had they're own ignition system. You should use the AMC 2.8 distributor and Ignition system with your vehicle. -

Why's that? And are you referring to the whole thread or a single post? -
Rochester 2SE carburetor

300 cfm would be ideal. You can get a 4bbl intake from Cliffords and put an adapter plate on it for a simple Holley 2bbl carb or use Cliffords adapter for a 300cfm Weber. My 4.2L in my Xj before I stroked it to 4.9L and added EFI was using a Weber 300 with Clifford 4.0 manifold (I used the 4.0L head) and ran great. -
