  2. So if i am looking correct the long bed has 6 bolts total,3 each side
  3. Just got done changing from a bench seat to buckets out of a XJ, late 80s. Used brackets off bench and bolted them to the curved tracks. Both work great. Never used a drill. Used what we around here call it, 90% DYE GRINDER and punch and hammer. Did both seats in under 15 minutes. Just grindoff the part of rivet you see then use punch and hammer to knock rest of rivet out.
  4. Looked and can't find the location of the bed bolts on a long bed. If anyone has a picture of the location of them and how many , your my hero
  5. My 89,4.0 was leaking oil. Changed valve cover gasket, checked oil filter after oil change and plug. Still leaking bad, about quart every 2 weeks. Changed rear main seal. No more leacks. Also changed trans filter, gasket. Truck was on jackstands anyway. Lol

  8. Guy is going to find out about a wrecked Comanche, said price is around 400.00. Not sure of year. No pictures of it yet. Its a 4.0 auto ,4x4, rust free long bed with between 60,000 and 80,000 miles It was wrecked on drivers side door. Also got roof, rocker, floor. Was told it was sold couple times and they could not straighten the frame. It tracks to the side when driving it. Sold back to owner. So here are questions 1. I know no frame, unibody 2. Can it be fixed and drive straight 3. I have a 89 Comanche, 4.0, auto, 2WD, 280,860 miles, just strip it and put everything in mine 4. Than sell all parts not needed and scrap rest

    WTB 2.5 ASAP

I am in need of a running 2.5 ASAP. The shop that towed it in said they had one. It was not a 2.5 for a jeep. So now I have mine setting while I drive my wifes 92 4X4 dodge power wagon 150. I like it but it SUCKS the gas. If ANYONE has one near Indiana please let me know. Thanks. PM me for my phone number. The cheaper the better.
  15. I don't what happened itside but I shifted from 1st. to 2nd. and she started knocking loud and blowing white smoke out the back. By the time I got it pulled over it sounded alot louder than when it started knocking and a lot more smoke.
  16. My 89 MJ's motor went "BYE BYE" on thur. :fs2: :fs2: As I was getting towed the driver asked what size motor was in it. I said 2.5. He said your in luck we have a 2.5 with around 85,000 for $250. I told him to take in to shop and put it in. It should be back on the road in about a week.
  17. When I started see my now wife she had one. We still have it today. It is about 15 years old. We love it.
  18. My 89 2.5 ran like s#$%. It took $40 in gas to go 80 miles. I looked and could not find anything. Took it to a MOM and DAD shop that does work that I can not handle at home. Come to find out it was the hose going to the map sensor.
  19. Just changed the oil and the valve cover is still not leaking. :clapping:
  20. I just changed mine. I hope it is done with the leeks.
  21. My 2.5 had 189,000 on it when I got it. It now has 223,879.
  22. My blinkers and hazards quick working also about 2-3 weeks ago. Stoped buy a shop that knows me. I tell them what is going on and he tells me to turn on the hazards and feel the relay. If I don't feel it clicking it is bad. I check it and no clicking. Go get new relays and they are working. So try it and see if you have a clicking. Good luck.
  23. Thanks for the info. I got it changed today. So I will be looking very hard to see if any oil leaks. So far none.
  24. I have the plastic valve cover on my 89 Comanche with a 2.5 in it. I got a good deal on a aluminum valve cover off a 2.5 out off a 94 Wranger. Which valve cover gasket will I use? The 94 or 89? I was told they are differnt. The 94 valve cover had a rubber one on it.
  25. Got it changed tonight. It was not bad at all. Thanks for the pictures.
