I have a 89 Comanche 2.5 I need to change the water pump on. I was looking at it and it looks like I need to take the power steering bracket loose. Is this true? Also do I need to take the alternator off? Some pictures would be nice to see which bolts I need to take out. Thanks for all the help

Yes my head is OK. The lifters are tapping. So if I have to use this head I will have new parts put in it. I am hopeing the new head will work. It sounds like it I will be getting the 2000 motor and using it. ( a lot less miles on it) It is CHEAP. I will let you all know how it went getting it in and running.

We got our Pit and Rott a dog toy with a tire and rope hooked together. It said it was indestructible. (they never meet our dogs) It lasted them 1 summer. The Rott got the rope and the Pitt got the tire.

So all I need are a 2000 exhaust and a flywheel ? Are both motor mounts the same? I am going to be using my throttle boby. Mine is a 5-speed.

I found a 2.5 out of a 2000 Wrangle. Would this fix in my 89 Comanche? It has a 2.5 in it now. I am wanting to use my intake and exhaust. Would the comanche motor mounts fit?

My 89 Comanche has a 2.5 and will not start. I was fixing the rear lights last night and it started. I go out today and will not start. :fs1: I do not hear the fuel pump comeing on when I turn the key. Is it the fuel pump or would the ECM fuse be stoping it from starting? Does it have a ECM and if so where is the fuse at in the fuse block or is it somewhere else? I ask about a ECM fuse because I had a S-10 and would not start. A "chevy nut" said let me look at the ecm fuse and it was bad. Put a new one end and started right up. Just pored gas in the TB and it fired up. Am I looking at a new fuel pump?

Our 50 lb. Pitbull just sits looking out the window or layes on the seat curled up. The 100 lb. Rott takes up the rest of the seat I am not useing. She loves to hang her head out the window or layes down with her head on my leg.

Sorry about saying it was a dana 20. I did not know it was a t-case not a rear end. It sounds like I need to look into other axles. Thanks

A guy is going to sell me a dana 30 front and dana 20 rear out of his late 80's wrangle for $50. Wrangle had a 2.5 GM motor in it. Are these going to be to small/long to fit under my 89 comanche? It is a 2wd, 2.5, 5-speed and want to do a 4wd swap. I know the spring mounts will have to be changed.

I just fill the bed with snow. If I don't need it all, shovel some out, need more put back end. When done with snow in bed, drive backward quickly and stop, bed empty.

Sorry to hear about your puppy. We have our first Pitbull for 7 years. She got really sick and we put her down. Very sad day for us. I hope she pulls through for you and your puppy.

It looked like a sun faded silver. Not much if any lift. There were doing a upgrade on a ford and stopped to help. The comanche guy said it just quit running. After some gas and a jump, off went the comanche with there gas can.

We had the WJ there. I have a sun visor on my MJ. I seen 3 MJ's total there. I will get the pictures up I have later.

Was watching Truck-U today and they stop to help a guy in a Comanche. I think the back plate said " KRAWLER" . Anyone else see it?

I was at the Jeep Jam in Fort Wayne, IN. today and seen a MJ with Virginia plates. Just wanting to know if they are on here? I will post up pics. later. 3 or 4 MJ's were there.

Will a WJ head unit fit in a MJ? I have a 99 WJ and like the stock head unit, with 10 disk unit. If it will fit the dash, I will but the 10 disk unit behind the seat with the amp.

My Pitbull barked that I forgot to post what trans I have. It is a 89, 5-speed,2.5 eng.

I have no backup lights and no turn signal on the pass. side. :fs1: I have but in new bulbs. The drivers side, front pass. side and flashers work, but not the pass. rear. I think the backup could be the switch on the trany. Where would it be at on the trany? Pics if anyone has it. Any and all help on the turn signal would be great help. I have asked the Pitbull and she will bark. I do not understand barking that is why I am asking people on here. :rotf:
