  1. Well I had some trouble with this thing early last week. Drove it home from day shift and parked it in the driveway. Was working on my pickup in the garage and needed some parts. Started jeep and let it run for a bit.....nothing out of ordinary....shift into gear...will not move. No gear, any gear. Rev it to 5500rpm to try and get more pressure.. Nothing. Called around to some mopar mechanics I know and also called my local stealer. They figured that the flat filter came loose. The filter bolts in on only one side and the other end goes into a small seal about the size of a quarter and is just held in with friction. Kinda chessy IMO. Well I dropped the pan expecting a obvious problem. Well the only thing obvious was that the fluid was ready to be changed! I removed and replaced both filters (flat and spin on). Amazingly that was the issue. Jeep drives just fine. I'm wondering if one of the filters was completely clogged and keeping the trans from making any hydraulic pressure... Chocked up to jeep experience I guess!!
  2. You don't need insurance on a vehicle that is on a trailer. In MN, you need insurance even if the vehicle is on a tow dolly. If any axle is on the ground, insurance is needed. (This is what I was told by the u-haul place a few years ago. Never researched past that.)
  3. This is why I only sell MJs to one person. (A few times) Then at least I can still see them and know they are in good hands. The others I have 'sold' are now pots and pans in your cupboard.
  4. My last 4 cylinder MJ had no trouble doing 70 mph in the highway with a snowmobile or ATV in the box..
  5. I say go for it. If it keeps you from being like Fred Flinstone more power too ya. I have had jeeps with stolen realitor signs, wood, beer boxes, chimney pipe cut and spread out and welded in.... It's all good. Just depends what you are doing with the truck. Not everyone needs a professional looking floor fix.
  6. Friend of mine Hill.Bill.E just became a super mod or something like that on Oath Keepers.
  7. Doing trans filters in my WK today.... It was -22 below. Garage is heated but the concrete takes a LONG time to warm up! The aftermath of the storm is usually worse then the storm!
  8. Looks good!
  9. Factory MJ receiver hitch work with a FEY bumper? Factory as in a manufactured product sold for MJs.
  10. This has been my dream tow rig for evAR!
  11. I looked at one in person the other day. We went on a little road trip in her '14 Patriot. Not much of a difference looking only skin deep. They look to be same size inside and too me, they seem even more car-like then the Patriot! But I didn't see a trail hawk model. Parked next to Patriots, And Compasses, they blend right in. To me, I don't know why the average buyer would consider the Cherokee over the others. Maybe the option of the 6 cylinder will sell them.
  12. Wow. And stable enough to stand around and gawk at!
  13. I was gonna say "fart cans" but I refrained. LOL
  14. Cool! Have fun with it. Just don't put one of those big 'cans' on the exhaust! Haha
  15. What are the plans?
  16. ARB install last night. Farely EZ install. About a 6-8 beer job. This bumper spent a few years on this exact jeep but was removed in the past for some reason. So no holes to drill. I bought all new hardware for it. I think it looks good. Not too many dubKs around with a winch bumper.
  17. He built it 15-18 years ago I believe. The jeep itself is a 87 or 88. The tire mount is put together with all replacement parts for the front end for spares. The inside of the bed looks like a truck bed within some sort of bedliner I believe. It's got a full cage and has been wheeled a lot. D30 and 8.8. It's stupid clean tho. He did tell me it took 3 MJ roof panels to get the roof correct.
  18. The front pinch seam is like from the floorboard up. The rear I did the cut and fold and also the cut and tuck for the rear quarters. I wasn't scared of making sparks on with this thing. Rear bump stops where a little different but I know I put some pics up of that. Those where also extended bump stops from Daystar.
  19. I also have a cart loaded with parts for my 08 Dizzle. I'm curious too!
  20. I replaced the factory bump stops with the Daystar extended ones and called it a day. I did get some pucks just n case I needed them but I didn't need em. Also I cut and folded the pinch seam inside the wheel well which makes a significant difference also.
  21. Another NeohicBuilt bumper
  22. Ha. This is A friend of mines rig. He built it himself. Lots of time involved. Calls it his Cheromanche.
  23. Anybody else see that article? Guy used a 2.1 Dizzle out of a XJ to repower a late 20s model A. Searched everywhere for the mag. Then I remembered I left it in a D11 CAT at work!! Sorry..
