  1. Yes. It's hard to remember you are still driving a Jeep. It nice to have something with power other then my CTD!
  2. No pics of your SRT-8?
  3. Picked this up the other day. Sold one XJ and the other one is on consignment at a buddies. He's got a dealer license and a nice spot to display. It's a 05 Limited with a 5.7 Hemi and Quadra-Drive 2 4 wheel drive system. It's got full skids underneath. Yes it's got IFS but its still got a solid rear axle. It's also got a 3" OME suspension system with 18" JK wheels/tires. I have a few plans for this rig. ARB front bumper with winch Sliders Rebuild front diff And DRIVE it. It's my new DD. It will see wheeling but nothing too extreme. More pics to come.
  4. That's a great deal for a set of Canyons. These are Eccos..
  5. Really? I've charged my red top from that is a 2008, about a dozen times with a 10amp regular old battery charger... Works fine. I see this is a old thread....
  6. Very cool Ben. I think you have something there. Yes it's a small, somewhat tight knit group of Comanche gurus, but something like what you have there is something everyone is going to need... Someday!!
  7. The Wyomanche yes. It's got ICONs now to support itself.
  8. Well it's forsale. I'm picking up a new ride Monday. Don't really care if this one doesn't sell......looks sweet with the Moabs.
  9. 4.11 gears Factory tach is off abut 300 rpm according to aftermarket tach I remember the 60mph figure due to the fact that is what I last drove before I got home. 3200rpm on aftermarket tach @60mph. Seems to me there may be nothing wrong. This isn't a highway truck obviously!! It's idling at 1500rpm now all of a sudden. Must be a vacuum leak.....yippy skippy I did end up purchasing a tach. Parts store did not have one to rent. I temporarily installed it on this truck but it eventually will make its way to the Wyomanche.
  10. Good point Rob.
  11. http://duluth.craigslist.org/cto/4146815570.html
  12. I'd probably install it in my 88.
  13. I know Ben (neohic) did something custom and extremely simple with his. Hopefully he will respond and show you a picture.
  14. Just beat the "lip" out of the way. With a BFH of course!
  15. Waitin for the garage to warm up a bit on this 23 degree morning... The trans has been rebuilt once but the t case has been apart 3 times for unknown reason. I gotta run to the parts store this am to pick up some parts for the plow truck and I'm going to pick up a tach if they have a reasonable one.
  16. You can get a XJ one which is the same axle. They are not as rare as folks on the interwebs think.
  17. Just found out the original owners used to pull a "big" car trailer with this truck. And also used it to plow snow. (I knew that about the plowing.) Story and mystery just keeps getting better.
  18. "Snowfighter" packages had 60s front and rear. They where F250s.
  19. Decent price if it was ready to go. "Some assembly required" would require a significant cheaper price. I paid $125 for a junkyard fresh one this spring.
  20. Picked up some gear lube and rtv. I'm going to check the gears in the d35 tomorrow.
  21. FWIW, I am the third owner of this Jeep. The original owner said they used to run on the interstate with it all the time and it never ran like that. Now that could be a miscommunication somewhere obviously. I guess that is what started the whole question. Somebody said it was fine at one time, but its not now.... Ill check gears. I have a MJ D44 that I'm going to swap into this eventually with 3.55s.
  22. Vin number indicates that it's a base model X per Eagles chart above. I crawled under and looked and ill be damned but it is actually a NP228 case. I can read the tag still plain as day. Tire size is 215/75/15.
