  1. VIN at the least, and Drivers door date, if legible. Rob
  2. That '87 VIN is an early one... Did you get the VIN off the '86? That would be the one we would all be more interested in. Also, with that '86 being an X, with the towing mirrors, including that it's already missing, I would say that it had a M20. Rob
  3. X2. I've been on some other forums, and this is by far one of the easiest/biggest reply pages. Jeepforum goes as far as putting actual pics in when you hotlink (if you use their button), and that clutters and makes things real small quick. Rob
  4. I know, I know. Patience my son. He's working on it. Rob
  5. Always nice to meet a member, and Ben and his wife are two of the nicest people around. Rob
  6. It's been a long debated topic... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/famed ... l-1219473/ Rob
  7. Does the AX5 flywheel follow the same rule as the AX15 that it's surface isn't flat but convex and unmachinable (technically, unless you can retain the convex)? Rob
  8. Lately, I've been trying to hit up the cruise nights and the car shows with The Diesel MJ. It gets a lot of passers, but the people that stop and talk are usually enamored with it, and will talk for 30 minutes. I've met a ton of previous MJ owners, from those who say it was the greatest truck ever, to the ones who said that it was the biggest pile of excrement outside of the local wastewater plant. Good mix. Lots of inquiries. I was a town over on Monday night, when I saw a little white pickup, and heard an all too suspicious clatter as it passed by. Be still my beating heart. A brother cut from the same awkward cloth. An '85 S-10 with the factory installed 2.2L Isuzu diesel. I scampered over to it as soon as he locked down a spot, and started the chit chat. He had just picked it up from the local swap meet this summer, and was enjoying it. His 2.2 is naturally aspirated (non-turbo), and he says it shows on the road. He was thinking that the stock numbers were in the neighborhood of 50HP, and 70TQ. He was still getting used to the quirks, but loving the economy. He was claiming 37 MPG, although very slowly. He got a kick out of the MJ, and was jealous of my bucket seats, longbed, and especially the turbo. Good guy. He kept saying how at the end of the world, it would be him and me, with our fuel sipping pickups ruling the ruins and skipping from town to town on scavenged fuel. If only we could have parked next to each other, and really freaked people out. Rob
  9. Locked awaiting prices, per forum rules. No prices by the end of the week and the thread will be taken down. Rob
  10. Not bad Don! Pretty cool to have the owner of a Jeep dealer take such a liking to our old trucks. Kind of hard not to with yours though. Recently I was looking at a Dart (Looking, can't afford/want a payment), and found out that Chrysler still offers the lifetime warranty. The details are a bit fuzzy now, but IIRC, a lifetime warranty bumper to bumper (minus wear items), was $4K, but had no deductible, and didn't seem all that bad if one was to keep a vehicle for a long time and drive it into the ground. We need pics! Rob

    jeep truck!

I was just reading about these somewhere. IIRC, while it shared the body of the flightline Jeep, it wasn't. It was an export based on the same platform. CJ-10 was the export pickup, CJ-10A was the tug. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ Rob
  12. That front end looks very similar to the Eagle. Rob
  13. And you will be warned! If you continue you will be given a time out. I am pretty sure you are adult enough to be able to get your point across without using your choice words. CC has an auto sensor for the most common words, but if you try to skirt the filter my intentionally misspelling them, or get around it, as shelbyluvv said, a warning will be shot your way. Filter: @#$% (4 letter f word) $#!& (4 letter s word) @$#% (4 letter c word) lady of the night (5 letters, woman who works on a corner) What always gets me, is that in order to censor the words, they all have to be manually entered. With Pete being such a clean and nice guy, I get a little chuckle when I picture him sitting down and typing out all these words... Poor Pete. Rob
  14. My eyes burn! Rob
  15. Just keep adding them... There is no limit. Rob
  16. And get recycled oil? Nah, I'll do it myself. Rob
  17. What is it's intended purpose? Rob
  18. Those flares tell a different story  IN THE BED. Says nothing about the outside. Rob
  19. Thanks Rob! Ya, the short arms are just holding out until I can afford long arms. I'm hoping to get long arms in the next month or two, any brands/styles that you suggest, or that I should stay away from? You still have these wheels? Rob I actually still have all four original rims and tires, you want them? May have to clean them up a little bit, because they've just been sitting, but I don't really have any use/plans for them You want to make an even trade, wheels/tires for the trackbar since it looks like it fit? I would have to look at the wheels/tires again, but that might work. Rob
  20. Name? Rob
  21. You still have these wheels? Rob
  22. Looks good, but those short arms look like they are screaming for help... Any longarms/drop brackets on the horizon? Rob
