Causes of caliper failure can be many, but usually a ripped or torn boot, poor slides, and excessive heat are the big ones. A sticking pad could overheat the caliper and fry the seals inside. As with most other brake items, I try to replace calipers, wheel cylinders and everything in pairs. I don't think it can cause catastrophic failure by only replacing one, but it might cause a pull or something... I like the sides to be on the same page when it comes to braking force. Rob L.

Just figured since most of us have pets who we care about, and are extended family members, I thought I would start a thread. Post up a pic of your pet, and some details. Tank: Tank is my Parrot. I named him that for shock value. You expect a huge bird, but he's only about the size of a deck of cards. He is a Pacific Split Blue Parrotlet. Tank is about 3 years old, and can live 20+. He can talk, and says "Hey buddy", "Baby", "What!?", and is a pretty good mimicker. He actually started laughing awhile ago. Not just a chuckle either. He gets the wind up, with a long Haaaaaa-ha-ha-ha... Sometimes does it in complete silence, have to wonder what he's thinking. All his talking is animated too, with shoulder and movements for emphasis. He can't scream like a big parrot though, which is awesome. He acts like a dog, and will beg for food, as well as help you with your cereal in the morning. I am working on perch training him now, so he flies to his perch when he has to drop a deuce. (He is somewhat of a sholder pooper right now, but its the size of a bb, so, no big deal) You can pet him like you could a dog, and he puffs right up and leans in. He will even start picking at your hand if you stop. This is a pic from when he turned into an EMO bird, and plucked out some feathers. I was taking him to the vet for a general checkup, and he seemed a little more comfortable on my shoulder than in a box in the ZJ. So I took an action shot. He is all better now, and running up and down the couch and yelling at anyone who passes by. Usually if you look down at him, he will look up at you and let out a "What!?" EDIT: The GF saw this thread while I was sitting here, and wanted me to put a pic of her horse up. His name is Austin, and he's a 7 year old paint. Rob L. (And Angela  )

Sorry to hear that Correy... Loosing a pet is never good. I can't imagine what I'd do if my bird died. He flew away a few winters ago, and I felt so horrible. I went out to warm up my truck in the snow, and forgot he was perched on my shoulder... :wall: I chased him down the block and into a tree 30 feet up, but then lost him after he took off. I searched for what seemed like forever. I finally called it, being 30 degrees out, and him being a tropical parrot. It was just too cold for him. I started walking back to the house, and saw him on the ground. :( Then he moved and flew a block over, and I pinned him against a garage door. I couldnt imagine if I had really lost him. But enough of my tangent. My condolences Correy. Its never easy. Rob L.

Here is what you can do to prevent your tailgate easily walking off, for only a couple bucks... Are you familiar with how the gate comes off? With the notched cup on the one side, take the gate halfway down and pull out and such? Take a metal hose clamp, and tighten it around the end that has the slot. It will prevent someone from taking the gate without taking off the clamp. The clamp will keep the slot covered, so you can't just tip the gate and pull it off. If YOU ever need to take it off, just keep a screwdriver in the glovebox. It will keep the little gate stealin bastid's in check. Make sense? Rob L.
