  1. Do you know if those were fitted to the earlier or later 86's? because when I ran my vin many years ago my truck actually had an 85 build date, but it's got the winch style (broken). or if it was an option for people to pick.
  2. if it was just a bumper it wouldn't be too bad, but the part the holds the hood latched looks @#$%ed beyond repair. And I feel like spot welds would need to be drilled to fix that.
  3. haha yeah, I'm really looking forward to when I can take it out of mothball and actually drive it :)
  4. 9k is the max on it. It probably starts around 7500 rpm like yours
  5. I do still have the old alternator, i didn't pick up have a reman one, I just went and grabbed one from a JY. And nope no tivs on the 4age, it's a 91 so i believe its a small port. And sadly I've only got to drive it twice now. The day I bought it and the day I moved back to Edmonton. But I will say this the 9000 rpm red line is fun :)
  6. I found a short video of it

  8. So today I went to go pick up the missing link between my 86 MJ and my 90 XJ And while I was there I saw this it's a 91 aw4 2wd, it belonged to one of the clerks working and the electronic store, so we had a little chat about MJs
  9. mine looks not the same, so it is renix?
  10. Thanks for the picture I'll re check tonight :)
  11. I couldn't find any P/N on it. is it supposed to be on the inside part of it or the outside part?
  12. the gauge will be renix (1990) and I will check on the sender tomorrow as I will have to find it in my shed
  13. It's a question, I'm hoping that it will be the opposite of running an HO motor with a renix sending unit
  14. http://comancheclub.com/topic/18588-xj-dash-harness-to-rear-mj-harness-wiring-guides/ this literally made it a child's game :)
  15. so we had a fairly nice day today, sun shining birds chirping and I spent most of it indoors doing this rear MJ harness one done last two MJ side all done. now to start on the cherokee harness and I did finish it, but I forgot picture :/ Now I just have to find some 10 pin connectors and merge the two half, I might have to try online for the connectors though. as I whent to 4 different places and couldn't find any.
  16. I while back I bought another sending unit to replace the one in my 86 the guy I had bought it off of had swapped a 95 drive line in his MJ so there is a possibility I have an HO sender will it work. I can live with the gauge reading backwards. Thanks.
  17. the 97 could have one, not sure about the 92 with it being a first gen.
  18. I'm kinda jelly about the AMC racing sticker on the bed.
  19. So I'm nearing the process of having to mate the XJ and MJ harnesses. My question is will the rear MJ harness play nice with the XJ, I understand that I might have to cut and splice wires and I am more then capable of doing that, but will all the wires be there or will I end up having to custom fab my own rear harness. also will the electrical connection from the 90 XJ work with the 86 MJ HVAC box. thank you
  20. nice mj, Aso I spy a mkIII supra (or maybe a chrysler conquest I can't really tell)
