  1. I really wish this MJ wasn't nestled in so tightly with some other cars in the JY so I could have taken some good pictures of it. It was full of LoL YEA! DRAGONS AND DALE EARNHARDT JR.!!!!!
  2. New report out about the USB flash drives they recovered from bin Laden's compound. One of the FBI agents removed it from his computer without 'safely removing hardware' first and lost all of the information contained on it :D
  3. Nice. I need to get my MJ back to a rolling chassis.
  4. I have the axle shafts to convert it to u-joints. I also have a u-joint yoke to replace the CV one that is on it. LP or HP doesn't matter to me. ANYTHING is an upgrade over the stock axle that's in the truck now, but that's only because there is no axle in it... Thanks for the info - I just didn't know if the coil perches and control arm mounts would all line up.
  5. Will a D30 from a ZJ bolt up into my MJ? Picked up a 5.9L ZJ that I'll be parting out next month and one of my MJs is in desperate need of a front axle.
  6. How many miles are on your 4WD AX-15? What kind of condition is it in? Would you be interested in doing a swap with the one in my '92? It was replaced with a new unit fairly recently and shifts amazing, so I'm a little reluctant to give it up...but if I may if I can go to 4WD. I'm anywhere from 1.5 to 3.5 hours from Long Island, depending on where you're at.
  7. It's very possible this was done prior to 5/1, but they didn't want to spoil the publicity of the Royal Wedding
  8. I can relate to this statement quite well. After driving a modified 3000GT VR-4 as a daily driver for several years, I sometimes laugh at the cost of parts for my MJ and XJ. I find it humorous when people get all bent out of shape over the cost of some of our parts. They don't know what it's like to have to drop $400+ in parts for a 60K mile tune up :D
  9. I go through phases. I'm at the end of a ZJ phase right now. I think I'll head back to an XJ phase now that I've sold two of mine off...
  10. Nicer Niner. I just picked up a second one over the weekend. I don't really know why...
  11. It'll take a couple of years for Obama to release the death certificate.
  12. If he hasn't responded, I don't think he's interested in your trade.
  13. You're an expert at finding base model 97+ XJs with power nothing. Manual door locks and windows....and cruise control....lolz
  14. Or it's a thread labeled 'spell check'
  15. Sounds a little like my commute. Only 7 miles, but lots of hills and twisties and potholes everywhere. I'd take my XJ or MJ any day over the YJ. It would bounce me from side to side and was not very enjoyable. A TJ may be a bit nicer, though.
  16. Long bed swoosh decals! I love it!
  17. If the frame on that XJ isn't rusted out, there was a fellow in CT or MA (I don't remember) that was looking for one in that exact color. I can get his name, if you're interested.
  18. 1991 was the first year of the 4.0L HO. And the ONLY year you could get the much cooler looking slanted roll bars and the 4.0L HO.
  19. A mid 90's Wrangler would include the YJ. I'd stay away from that for daily driving duties. The TJs are a much nicer ride and have much better interior comforts than their predecessor. However, in my opinion, they both aren't great for a DD. My GF has an '06TJ and when we go out to run an errand we'll choose my XJ 8 times out of 10. The 2 times we take the TJ are when it's nice out and she feels like putting the top down. The XJ is just wayyyyy more practical for every day use.
  20. Judgement day 5/21/11. This is the beginning.
  21. This kind of makes me wish I didn't throw away all of those old hatch struts...
  22. Looks good with the turbines
  23. That would be a Class 10.9 bolt, which is the metric equivalent to a Grade 8. So you'll need (6) M10 x 1.50 x 43(?)mm Class 10.9 bolts to for the frame mounting positions. That's a 10mm diamter bolt with a 1.50 pitch, and 43mm (I can't read the number, but it's 40-something) length. Probably not available at too many local stores. Try searching for a local Fastenal store or a Tractor Supply - they usually have a good selection. You may also be able to find the bolts at a local Mom and Pop hardware store, too. If all else fails, order online at Mcmaster-Carr.
  24. When I drove my '92MJ back from Ohio, cruising around 70-75MPH, I was pulling 24MPG with a bed full of parts and a dog in the passenger seat. Mostly downhill driving, though. Doesn't do more than 15-16 around town. 4.0L, AX-15, and 2WD. Great combo for highway mileage :D
  25. Grade 8 bolts are both stronger in yield and tension than Grade 5 bolts. The amount depends on the diameter bolt in question. However, the bolts in the frame are metric, therefore you'll be looking at the metric equivalent to SAE Grades, which are Class 8.8 and Class 10.9.
