and some lazy jerk simply cut the headliner board. Pathetic. All it takes is a phillips screwdriver and a freakin t50 to completely take the interior out, heck the headliner board falls out practically. Looks like you got a good tailgate though. Think I'd grab the front bumper too.

Good Job man, I've got an old Western Auto tricycle that's awaiting a restore. When I get around to it, hopefully it will look that good.

Usurper in Chief says it's OK to kill amerikan Bald Eagle
Comanche County replied to Jeep Driver's topic in The Pub
Sir, not to be a grammer queen but I'm unsure if you spelled "Haoles" right :D , or if any one else knows what that derogatory term is. BTW, I was born at Tripler and have been back a few times, one of the greatest places on earth. Everyone should visit and make the climb up Oahu's Tantalus trails to walk/run in the wind driven clicking bamboo forest and gaze down on Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor. I'll never forget standing up there. Hawaii like all states is a great one, but it has beauty like no other. And yes, we as Americans have culture. We have the oldest and most stable form of liberty and democracy on the planet. That is our culture we all share and must defend, regional differences, races and dialects are purely localized and are actually immaterial in the big picture. We all share the same and most diverse free culture on the planet being Americans. No other country on the planet has what we have. On the Bald eagle thing, American natives were not innocent, nor were "we" whites (btw, there is Comanche in my bloodline), history is ugly with deceit and defeat going both ways. Yes, they should be allowed to take Bald Eagle feathers, preferably from naturally deceased and lawfully collected birds which is the preferred method that the US Govt and the tribes are going by. I do not believe the tribes feel they must actually kill a Bald Eagle. I think the Indians are being painted that way incorrectly. If there are no feathers or remnants available then they should be able to take mature birds in very limited numbers that have no impact on a local Bald Eagle population as long as it is for purely religious purposes and is monitored. More Bald Eagles are killed accidentally each year than the shamans will ever come close to taking. Aside from impacting a population of species that could have effects spanning beyond the reservations, they should be able to do whatever they lawfully want to on the rez, it is their "country" after all and we should respect it, including building as many casinos as they want (just for me - hehehe). Its a delicate matter having over a hundred "Vaticans" inside another country when it comes to co-appeasing laws. Conflicts are routine, expected and should be addressed quietly, peacefully and respectfully. We've done it for a long time and although the coexistence has its seemingly unfair economic impacts, opportunity is still there for everyone. I see the Eagle issue as an important issue, but not something to be blown out of proportion. We should be able to address it and get past it easily. I got hot about it when it first came out a couple of weeks ago but after reading numerous sources, I figure,,,, ah,,, um,,,they're just being crazy Indians as usual, no biggie. -
Come on down to Texas sir, the economy is good, no state income tax required. You may get taken on property tax though, just warning ya. :fs1:

The 4.7 family was short lived for a reason...some people have good luck with them, most don't, hello pentastar. The prime WJ to own without a doubt is the 04' 4.0 Limited 4x4...wish I still had it.
-
I think if you research the 4.7 you'll find its the hottest item in any dismantler's inventory. Simply because they just don't last that long. Call some local yards and see if they've got one, I bet they don't, they sell faster than free cute little basset hound puppies. Until if blows, you can expect good power and better gas mileage compared to the magnum 5.2, but then it will wreck itself at a young age.

Thanks for posting, I'll look out for that.

I did the exact same thing in mine, just peeled the seat covers off the frame and pulled the foam off the springs, swapped em, reinstalled seat covers and was done. I just pulled some 99' seats, looks like it would be just as easy, I think it would be the same for the 01'.

Let me check it out, I've no clue why my brother.

Pete you are quintessential good dude all of us should hope to be one day.

Not really lotsa holes. But probably rebuildable with some patching. I was going to take it but I kept finding holes. I just don't know the right way/product to patch it.

Pete, you're our William Wallace, show them Longshanks who is the boss of MJs in Amercica.

I left the shoulder belts through the b pillar moulding still attached to the retractors which seemed to both work fine. I took the bench with the center belt, I believe the two buckles for the shoulder belts are still dangling off the bench.

Hats off to you sir, I couldn't do it. It takes tact, compassion, understanding, a high level of training, and experience to guide troubled kids.....Introspective persuasion isn't my strong point, I let my USA Amatuer boxing coach certification expire, but I'd just suit em up and throw em in a ring for 4x 2 minute rounds, then send the loser over to the heavy bag for retraining until he couldn't lift his arms. Ah, maybe gruff but it works for some kids, not all though.

Only one visor was still there, in rough shape too, the tan center visor clip was broken and unusable. Both had matching tan interiors except one cab and driver's side door was smashed, it had a mini console and 5 speed, the other I pulled the trim out of had a rubber floor and column auto and it was missing the drivers door, the passenger door panel however was cherry. So at best I could get you a decent tan passenger door panel, manual crank, no power. Let me know soon, I've gotta head to Houston day after tomorrow for about a week, but I'll grab it for you tomorrow if I have time. I'm not looking for profit, cost would be what I paid for it (JY costs) and shipping,,,haven't looked up the zip but I imagine no more than the 20-30 dollar range.

I believe they should bolt on,,,this is the set up on the XJ right? The RK 3 link uses a crush sleeve through the frame rail, you have to drill a 5/8" hole on one side and it "crushes" against the other side. Really easy since the control arm brackets align off the TC holes and there's no crossmember which makes accessing the transmission a lot easier too. You must cut off the MJ lower control arm brackets though. Nice beard btw!

They have the same dealership stampings on them from a no longer existing Temple, TX dealership, probably junked from the same owner since they hit the yard at the same. One was welded on and I may go get the other one, but after 5 hours in the yard and a sore back, I could pull any thing else today. -
Pulled it all today, I can go back and get it if someone wants it. You can't have the headliner, its mine. But I will go get the rest and ship it if someone out there needs tan interior trim to match the 70s shag carpet they installed in their MJ. :D

Been messing with other Jeeps in the herd lately. I did make a good haul from the JY today though. Went there searching for Up Country Springs for my ZJ and found two new MJs. Scored a headliner board, tailgate, bench seat for taking the kids out, tail lights, 4 coil springs, aftermarket fog lamps, other bits and pieces. I also pulled all the tan interior trim off one of them and put it all in the bed before some idiot ripped it all out like what always happens. If someone wants them I can go back and get it all for you. Would have got the trim too but, my back is absolutely killing me and I barely got it all out and just couldn't carry anymore. -
We've got an injected 351 in our 94' 4x4 F250, besides for a TPS sensor, nothing has failed on the engine. Clutches are a different matter, two in one year and about to get a third (the old man likes taking off in second and ride the clutch)....its got 220K on it and runs awesome, burns just a tad bit of oil but nothing out of the ordinary for the mileage. Plenty of parts in the yards for them too.

Suburban revenge ideas are running rampant in my head now. I like the chistmas tree idea. Now that he can't see anything, you could use his tactics against him and claim his “observing you” is contrary to "the right of enjoyment of the property", if there's such a local clause like that. Maybe you can catch him peeking over your fence, a game cam would do it. As I'm sure you know, Roosters are great for annoying the neighbors. Some guys I worked with got in prank battle, after one guy filled up his nemesis' car all the way to the windows with shipping peanuts, the other put up a very distasteful CL personal ad with his phone number and some lewd pictures and after all the phone calls he got he finally admitted defeat.

Yup, go with the smaller low profile LED light bars. Less drain and very bright and they come in all sorts of sizes. I was going to put one on my truck back when I was a volunteer firefighter. I think they look good when tasteful, but you might just want to go for something dash mounted or discretely tucked in the grill somewhere.
