  1. Yes they do Look at my avatar....same truck as yours....in that pic it has 31's....no mods
  2. Try putting the cables on like described......too bad I was in Anola yesterday at lunch on my way to look at another jeep....if you can't get it working this weekend PM me and we can meet ......maybe I can help you out.....
  3. Yes.....I just thought since I am in Manitoba as well he might understand my accent better
  4. Just out of curiosity....... What happens when you install the battery cables correctly.... With the clamp end cleaned and tighten down.... And the other end of each cable cleaned and tighten in its correct location......do you still get the same result?
  5. What was the average air temp outside on the trip as compared to your day to day driving?
  6. Made my twice a year trip to the recycler to cash in my scrap steel, aluminum rims, old batteries….always like the feeling of driving away with cash in my pocket from what most would call “Junk” Saw a young guy on a rig similar to the picture who obviously spent too much time on the video games…..He grabbed a late model Pontiac out of the pile….tossed it with the grapple as he swung it over so the car landed roof down greasy side up ……Dropped the grapple into it one time to bust things up…..withdrew it….then with surgical precision in one move dropped the grapple in again and came away…..with just the catalytic converter in the jaws…..spun sideways and dropped the cat in the bin…..Had to give him a big thumbs up….Pretty to watch!

1996 XJ 4.0 5 speed Crank sensor has oval plug.....every parts store I call asked if it is oval or rectangular..... I say oval....they say no stock.....but they have rectangular...... Aside from the plug what's the difference...... The sensor end is identical....could I not hardwire a rectangular one in just to get it moving? Thanks
  9. Thank you Goose....it is scary but that seems to be the same pic Now the hunt begins......
  10. I had a line on some seats and lost all info. Google is not my friend today. Looking for factory jeep buckets....they were a believe leather(?) And had the word "JEEP" inlaid in the back of the seat....in a contrasting color....I am almost positive they were out of an early 2*** grand cherokee... thanks in advance for any info (or pics) I guess I should clarify.....I am looking for info on if anyone can point me in the direction of what model / years seats like this came with.
  11. Full sized Cherokee (2door Waggoner) I do not know the j designation

    XJ ECU ?

I like this Gives a whole new meaning to "Trouble shooting"
  13. You could try you local JY......they might have trans with bolts in that you could scavenge ..... And IMHO....it would be easier to re-tap the hole to a common thread, then just use an off the shelf bolt, quicker than making bolts?
  14. Since you have to take the old cps out to install the new.....take out the remaining bolt to be sure?
  15. The head of the bolt is 7/16.....by about 1/2" Before you chop a hole in the floor get together your longest socket extentions .....it is easier when your ratchet is back near the tail of the trans......sometimes a helper in the engine bay guiding the socket comes in handy
  16. Check the rear end.......just in case someone stuck a 44 or a 20 in at some point?
  17. I have done it (flushed it) with success without removing anything. The last one I did on my YJ had a noticeable grinding/growling noise. I used a Dollar Store turkey baster, an empty plastic jug and some Walmart ATF. Used the baster to suck up the fluid out of the reservoir, dumped old fluid in the plastic jug ….get as much out as you can…..then topped it off with ATF…..started it up and ran the wheel back and forth from full left to full right 2 or 3 times…..then used the baster to drain it again….refilled and repeated. After the third time my noise was gone….I drove for a day or 2 then did it one more time. And yes I run ATF in my PS.
  18. I made my own.....the blue one is your standard heavy duty princess auto (harbor freight) style
  19. ....?....you have no passenger floor pan.....you have exhaust entering your cab.....?....sort of like saying I have no roof.....and I can't figure out why my hair gets wet when it rains....
  20. No insult intended...but are you sure the water pumps you are putting on are spinning the right way?.....fast test pull the heater hose that comes out of the pump...use that hose or another..... Put the end of the hose in a pail and ask a helper to start the engine.....do you get a strong stream of water (fire hose strong)?
  21. No my friend....not the new one that you broke....not a new one at all....where is the one that came with the truck.....the first one that was in the truck originally....the first one you took out....when this all started you took a bearing out....show a pic of that original bearing
  22. I mentioned the "original" the first one you took out... show that beside the new
  23. Yes.....hence the tap it first to see if it separated.... Looks like we jumped right to smack.....the burr can be cleaned with a file or a dremel Can you lay your new bearing face down out of the package beside your old the same way...it may be the camera.... But in your other pic it looks different? And fyi....you can post pics right on the site
