  1. check the adjustment screw at the throttle linkage, it'll change things a little bit, somoene might have cranked it way up because something else was ill-adjusted

    Ford

    i want free ford parts!
  3. haha ive heard of it... don't know where or how (or why?) to watch the actual thing, but it can't really be THAT bad. gimme a break. thats gross as crap but still. i think i'll refrain from trying to see that particular video :redX:
  4. She had better be a really good looker, or spend her money on your Jeep parts. Cause I've been married for 12 years, and I still wouldn't watch that piece of crap. yeah,yeah,yeah.... if you didnt see it then how you know it was a piece of crap?? heh... :brows: hahaha, when you're 18 you'll sit through 2 hours of bad singing and dancing and gays. (so long as I get to pick the next two hours activities. :brows: if you get my drift.)
  5.
  6. pretty sure the buckets have been swapped in, don't know that they were available for anything but elminator and in 88 those were only 2wd but cherokee buckets are hardcore comfortable welcome to the club! nice truck, what all jeeps have you owned?
  7. on the locker the 4x4 and the 2x4 have the same rear diff options so yeah it'll work in your truck... just be sure what axle you have. and to have a truck to pull from is nice, i would go for the truck... and just swap over the rear axle, you'd be geared alot nicer then too.
  8. ~? i think you mean DC i mean ~ about. wasn't thinkin elec. symbols, but yea DC in other news on this thread, i pulled a plug w/e its set at is just about perfect, but someone brought to my attn that my k&n is dirty to the point it might be hindering my airflow which might be contributing to the rich-ness in the first place
  9. yeah i don't think any of the jeeps with stickshifts have clutchstart... not sure on that, but i know our trucks don't
  10. yeah problem is that there's spark. so it's not CPS...unless it's faulty CPS giving the wrong reading. read through that part a little to quick, thought you said you tested and no-spark
  11. i hate to bring it up but CPS? doesn't that usually cause gas/turn but no fire?
  12. thats how it always happens, we didn't know jack about t-cases when tim bought the xj, then come to find out we got the pimp/rare case :D
  13. 89 for the manual cause the ba10 is 21 and the ax15 is 23, 90 is a 21 for the aw4 though
  14. 21 spline case... the XJ is a 1990 and we swapped over to a 231 i bought from a member here.. 100bucks shipped iirc
  15. i think quadratec has it
  16. yep opposite problem here we put a nonmolested tank from a parts 93 jeep in the xj and the thing reads backwards doh! we just laugh when the E light comes on to let us know its full :brows:
  17. Thanks for the tip! I will just look and see what the spline count is and go fromt there. Bill easiest way to tell is by the year/tranny. a 1990 aw4 will have 21 spline all years from 91+ aw4 will have 23 spline a ba10 manual will have 21 spline (89 changes to the ax15 and if you have ax15 it will be 23 spline)
  18. highway loaded up in my 4wd 5-spd w/ 3.07s and 235/75r15s i get bout 22-23 my normal driving involves ALOT of traffic/redlights. add that with having the foot of a teenager (welll, add that with BEING a teenager) wait scratch that, add that with being MALE. and i don't get alot of mpg-age.
  19. 17ish (in heavy atlanta-ish traffic) with a not-so-light foot.
  20. haha, i was wondering what you were thinkin bout... it's late, i'll give you that.
  21. he's sayin touche as in, good point or nice one man... cuase you're both kinda goin for the desert runner look  at leas tthats what i gathered from it? lovin the progress man. she's gonna be one of the better ones out there.
  22. we've got an ARB in the XJ works GREAT, if you're already running an OBA setup its cheaper too cuase you don't need to buy the ARB compressor. trail repairs aren't fun but compression fittings to fix the vinyl lines (normal blue ones) are cheap at any autoparts store and we barely got one on there and it held up all weekend so
  23. you're probably going to have to run multiple relays, buy a project box from radioshack to keep it all striaght, it looks nice when you're done too :D I'm sure you like that after seein your rigs. i can scan in a factory style setup it uses a multi-function switch (straight from my 1600page modern auto tech book its a nice diagram
  24. hmm I like that idea. so it would have one battery power source, one ground, 2 input (power on's for the hi/lo), and 2 output (hi/lo again) wires? where would I get that. dumb ??? lol, but I've never seen a 2 position relay. i think i might've made it up but i SWEAR i've seen factory toyota two position relays in wiring class. (toy t-ten program)
  25. use a two position relay, that might help. so one position is hi one is low one is off. wait, i'm thinking of something else. maybe that won't work. i'll think on it a bit i just went through automotice elec. class i shoud know this
