i would check underneath to make sure the cable is hooked up to the transfer case (you did say 4x4 right?) and also make sure the connectors on the transmission are plugged in... your transmission problem sounds more electrical than mechanical since the shifting is controlled by a TCU, check that it is plugged in ( i can't remember where it is on your truck since mine is stick) but check fuses too to see if one is blown possibly not sending power to the trans.controller.

well get after it! if you can't figure out which ones to loosen it won't hurt if you undo all of them in that area just a little bit, but make sure you get everything back tight, also wouldn't hurt to use some pb blaster or wd40 on the adjuster especially

anywhere, 100% waste. i think he meant like... lunch

i think it would help if someone had pictures they could circle the bolts i'm talking about, i don't think i've got any. as far as your transmission having to be shifted manually, it sounds like the TCU (transmission control unit) is either unplugged, not receiving power, or is not receiving signal to shift gears. check all the plugs at the transmission, and check fuses too.

alright, tightening your serpentine belt... first you need to find your powersteering pump, then locate the three bolts holding it tight in its position. there will be one on the back you can get with a wrench, another one on the front, and a third that is actually locking down the adjuster bolt for the pump. after you have LOOSENED...(don't remove them, only loosen a couple turns) you can turn the 13mm bolt that goes in from the aircleaner towards the passenger side, its the LONG one being locked down, turn it left to loosen, right to tighten. tighten the belt until it is difficult to twist it 90* at the longest part then tighen all your bolts back up and check it.

Help! Injector has no power
Oizarod115 replied to kaylor23's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
... i may be wrong here but your fuel injectors should NOT be wired to the map sensor... they should be wired to the computer. and the map sensor should also be wired to the computer... :redX: -
that happens sometimes man, go for a new pump this time maybe? had to warranty a NEW mopar radiator in a dodge truck not long ago at work, it went 13 months.

Power/Comfort Switch?
Oizarod115 replied to veritas4156's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
man, i beg to differ! i like my shift-points low, thats how you get gas mileage.. i can't STAND riding in a later cherokee, the darned things don't shift til like 2500 rpm even with minimal throttle input. the 90 my brother owned shifted like butter in comfort mode and usually stayed there, it was the nicest shifting auto-4.0 i've ever been in. -
if you don't mind, what did you pay for that fine creature?
-
sounds like yo need to update your sig-line then!

Yeah, but who cares about him. He doesn't even have a Comanche. ooooohhh... thats right, HE WENT THERE!

:clapping: :clapping: i did an S10 4.3 intake last week and a z71 5.7 intake this week, i'll add onto your list some 5.3 common failures. the a/c drive-belt that everyone misses when they do a serp.belt? and waterpumps. oh! and how about monte-carlo and malibu gauge clusters. AND don't forget anything that sports the word cadillac.

in my comanche... in my volvo 740ti dailydriver (as you can tell it's alot easier to focus and concentrate on a good picture when you're not watching the highway...) their current mileages are 214,XXX and 304, 986
