  1. ooogly. grill makes it look like a lincoln. i was expecting some cut up built up jeep rig. :hmm:
  2. ya, its all those shopping carts at the mall scratchin it up
  3. only one way to find out  .....i bet its just sittin around and they'll get rid of it, better go check :rotf:
  4. ^failed resolution already :rotf:
  5. your resolution should be to buy a dictionary :rotf: , decifering your posts sometimes is a riot. just razzin ya.
  6. its true when wheels are locked manuevering is changed because any movement but straight requires different wheel speeds, but that is a very small sacrifice for the abilities gained by a locker, night and day for off roading. once you learn how it reacts you'll never go back, and you will be able to manuever fine.
  7. i've seen the original video before, i at first thought they were using the axle as a recovery point but they didn't upon further inspection. poor technique, the icing on the cake for me is the idiot standing on the bumper while its being pulled. some people have no clue what they're doing, thas what gives our lifestyle/hobby a bad name.

    I laughed:

cuz if vin diesel does something funny, you laugh. he's almost a chuck norris. :rotf:
  9. nice truck, i'm a fan of those wheels to, i may be the only one. but they look cool in restored condition.
  10. so who's buying me lunch since its my birthday weekend? :brows:
  11. if you have a drain pan under the vehicle, whatever you drop goes in it, no matter where you drop it. if my first day in a shop was in winter, and a nice wad of slush came off a car and went down my back, or in my ear, as it does so often, i would be doing something else these days. word to the wise mechanic, just do what i finally do these days, to the idiots car that has 6" of snow on it, and they just turned the wipers on and drove to the shop, drive around back, and remove all the snow, if you don't it will end up on your head. and if there's no snow on the car, still check the fenders where it all piles up behind the wheels, remove it before it goes in the shop  my boss in the first shop i worked in always said "if it was easy, everyone would be doin it"

  13. i don't think you need to redesign the whole truck because you're breaking front u joints, or shafts. first of all i would only run spicer u joints, and leave them non greasable. don't drill them or anything, they're great just the way they are. and after that if you're still having a problem, do alloy shafts. i remember you liking those 35's a lot, i'd keep them and find a simple solution. tons of people run 35's on the d30 with alloy shafts.
  14. jeeze, that poor j truck. it could be how they are approaching it to, although high speed and off road are way different than the off road most of us do. but most people i'd waiger are hitting the gas just before the jump just like that guy did, if you come around the burm faster, and hit it at a higher speed you're gonna get more damage. that ain't good for any vehicle, and that j truck is not built to do it either. i love at the badlands they've made a race around the whole park, it looks like a blast, but everyone that takes their rigs through it tear them up, its a whole different theory to build an off road rig for hi speed, than it is for tight trails, rocks, and mud.
  15. ^ come to think of it mine was brinks to, and thats what we eventually did, stopped paying for the service, but the alarm still made noise. and if an intruder disabled it within the allotted time there would be no alarm on their side.
  16. i'll try to make a long story short about why i chose to purchase a fire arm. reading about the baseball bats is what reminded me of it. everyone has heard some noises in the night, animals in the garbage or whatever, neighbors or whatever. i've been woken up to a noise many times, getting up and saying "what was that" and lookin out the windows, we all have countless times. well a few years ago, bedroom window was open in the summer time, and i was rapidly awoken from slumber to a loud crash, different than i've heard before, right out my window. this wasn't like any other time, and i'll never be able to portray the feeling over a computer screen. But this was it, no question 110% its time, kill or be killed, never fealt that before or since. i kept a golf club by the bed, i jumped up, did not look out any windows, no time for that i have to beat who ever this is to getting in. i threw the dog out the back door and i ran out the front, long story short it was a raccoon right outside my window knocking something over. but the feeling i had running out of the house with a 9 iron and a 20 lb dog to protect my family sucked. after my first house was robbed 8yrs ago or so, we got an alarm put in, they're better than nothing. but i remember my wife or mom trying to get in once, and didn't remember the code or it malfunctioned and went off, it went nuts for a bout 4 mins, and stopped, no one in the neighborhood cared, and then the alarm company calls and if they get no answer they send police which is good, but 20 mins later it was cleared up and no cops came. and this was an adt alarm.
  17. welcome to the club, nice start on the truck. i got my hands on the same wheels froma tj and put them on mine.
  18. i had my first house broken into, and they took stuff. its a crappy feeling, and you feel violated. i agree with cw, it has to be her decision to use it. i personally own a .357 revolver s&w model 19, and my next home defense gun will be similar to what you posted, but with a pistol grip and short barrell. i got some advise years ago from an old cop, he told me to have the revolver, because the shells stay in the gun, and he said empty it if you have to use it.
  19. geeze, who pee'd in pats stocking? Merry Christmas everyone, I'm having a great day with just the wife and kids. i wanted to go sledding but its just been raining, snow's basically gone. the one time i want it to snow, i hate snow all the other times when i gotta get up early and snow blow, then drive to work with the idiots, then deal with it at work, then drive home with the idiots. now that i could actually enjoy it for the first time in years.....it rains. think of how much snow this would be if it were 7 degrees colder.
  20. ...yeah, but the guy on that pirate thread did it as a joke, and had the thread going for awhile. he really just did it to piss everyone on pirate off lol. ya i know, i read like 5 pages before i realized it had to be a joke. it was pretty funny.
  21. this reminds me of a joke on pirate a long time ago, a guy got all pissed off because he welded his ring gear to his pinion gear because thats what he thought they told him to do, it went on for like 10 pages. secondly why would you care about the difference between 4.11 and 4.10?
  22. hey and welcome to the club from a FIB just over the border, you got a pretty good support group near by. :rotf: only one thing worse than wisonsin........illinois. and i wanna see the amx, and what the heck is a honda rubicon???
