  1. this is also why we won't see it on there, the aftermarket is so small for a reason, they got nothing to do with it, or no money to be made from sponsors. luckily. besides, i'm sure they'd just do something that makes us all whine anyway :ack:
  2. i would love to have something like that. even with all the skills i have i couldn't do all that myself. its worth the money.
  3. i don't think so, just because we're cheapos, doesn't mean something isn't worth some money. if its as listed, in that nice of shape it is. not everyone is like us and buys something cheap and works on it all the time. if i had more money, i'd buy something like that, and simply maintain it and drive it. something that is in that nice and original shape is worth something, no rust and looks like it came off the show room. i don't like the steering wheel though.
  4. i think this one had a 258 I6, the other guys were talking about 360 jeeps they had.

i think "cherokee of the month" should go to someone that still owns their rig, just me though.
  6. who you talkin to? me? where's humboldt park. i'm in north east illinois, almost at the wisconsin border, about 50 mins from chicago.
  7. :huh???: soa gives you 5-6" lift out back. other downside is axle wrap, that would be the only drawback. i haven't heard of many people using antiwrap devises either on these, ladder bar etc.... i'm considering soa in the future, i'm sure thats still an issue on an mj, anyone got any input on that?
  8. i rebuild a lot of s10 axles in the shop, i wouldn't bother. i wasn't aware of the two gm 10 bolt sizes, but i thought all the newer s10 and even smaller 1/2 tons had the smaller 10 bolt, they suck.
  9. very cool.

  11. dunno, there's this one, and 2 more for sale by me on cl: http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/bik/1603101146.html
  12. there's no reason to use that bypass unless your compressor seizes and you don't want to get another one.
  13. i second whats been said, and i wouldn't waste my time taking one out of a pnp. most will be no good.
  14. moral of the story: don't do drups. :rotfl2:
  15. jeeze, you couldn't pass on that.
  16. nice love the claw hammer on the metal fab :rotf:
  17. sweet truck, i like the color
  18. ya we're not all looney  , joking throttle body fuel injection from an s10  , probably not as simple as you want, but once you do it, you don't have to worry about it again.
  19. here's a cool cj comercial, look at the mpg they say
  20. i like those wheels. and i like how the xj blew by the blazer and then it says maybe nothing is in its class.
  21. do not deviate from plane ole champion, usually the part number is on the sticker w/ the engine and emission info under the hood to. i wouldn't even suggest ngk or autolite, champion is cheap and plenty to come by, no need to stray. there's millions of stories about 4.0's not running rigth from different plugs.
  22. i know my 90 illuminates by a vacuum on the cad. 4x4 always worked, but i noticed a vacuum line off the cad recently, when i put it on, the indicator started working.
  23. yep, 4 banger xj or tj would be your front donor, and the 97 8.8 is a good choice also, you can also get them with factory limited slip fairly easy also.
  24. looks good, great color.
  25. needing the throttle all the way open to start is an indication of a flooded problem. having the throttle full open helps cure being flooded, i'm not sure on older jeeps but on newer vehicles it even stops the fuel delivery. check for injectors leaking down, or poor state of tune (plugs, wires, cap, rotor) first. did it keep a code in memory?
