  1. thats gonna be hard to do, i'm loadin stuff up all night tonight, and leaving from work tomorrow. i have 4 cooper stt i'm bringing, on regular 5 spoke stock steel wheels, they're 30" and practically new still. stt is the real mud tire, nice tires. they are on my jeep in my avatar. i also have stock steel wheels and tires in good shape. give me a shout on my phone rob if you're interested.
  2. nice work mane
  3. definitely check compression before you buy. those engines have tiny oil passages, and there's a screen in front of the timing chain passages. they have a lot of them getting clogged up, starving the timing chain, or other areas for oil, and causing cam damage, or the timing chain breaks apart. replacing the motor on that is not fun, and the motors are not cheap. they are really nice jeeps though. just keep in mind they have an internal oiling problem, but that is easily avoided by on time oil changes. but for those that consistantly go 5k and more, they are prone to failure.
  4. what are you looking for, i have at least 3 sets of tires and wheels i don't want, i'm bringing one set to the jefferson swap meet in wisconsin this weekend, they are like new mud tires, i also have stock size tires and wheels to. let me know if you want any of them and want to drive to jefferson wisconsin.
  5. and i also read somewhere else about the dmv titles that say willy, because thats how many letters they allowed space for, so people saw that and said willy. instead of willys
  6. oh really, i haven't seen any commercials about willys the first time i looked into this is when a buddy told me, what an old timer told him, and this old timer is well known in the war era and old jeeps world. then i did some searching on the web and sure enough, it verified what he had said. i'm curious now what others say. i'm under the influence that everyone says willies, and its incorrect.
  7. EHH. (crowd goes awwwwww) thats what everyone says, but is it right?
  8. :fool: willys, not jeep truck
  9. i looked today and it said 30% and "few showers"
  10. :hmm: Rob L. if you search you will learn  (not forum search)
  11. if you're gonna own one you gotta know the proper pronunciation, i just recently learned that everyone is saying it wrong
  12. cool willys. probably flathead 4 i'd say also. i know a guy that picked one out of a field, hardly did a thing to it and drives it around daily. and it looks kinda like that, and it looks like he did it on purpose, ratrod. i dunno how true this is but someone told me he's getting like 30 mpg. there's about 10 wires under the hood, and 10 wires behind the dash, and a couple fuses. there's nothing to these things, its pretty cool.
  13. i'm sure you'll find something rob, i'm just lookin forward to all the people, and cool stuff. i hope to see some of you guys.
  14. the yellow one is decent, the orange one was homemade by someone, still does the job. i think i put 25 bux on the yellow one and 15 on the orange one.

  17. i will be there with a buddy and a couple sites selling tons of jeep stuff, come and find me, and say hi :brows:
  18. very cool who drove the j truck, that thing is sweet, i love those trucks.
  19. verify the voltage with a multi meter on the battery, my voltmeter in the cluster drops around 12 sometimes, but the alternator is charging fine when you install real test equipment on it. the gauge cluster can be erroneous
  20. :hateputers: :papers: :needpics:
  21. i love mythbusters, now who remembers about the cargo net? was it better? i can't remember, seems to me that did the best.
  22. i'm not a big scholar on hymnals, but i'd check your facts again, that song is most likely a hymnal thats been around for a long long time, and then a country singer sang it, thats not very uncommon. and no, we don't sing country songs  :rotfl2:
  23. Don't gotta know the song, its pretty clear that "and he" was transformed to "andy," I just wondering where that was from. My first guess was some sort of church music, but apparently it was not. we sing it in my church :dunno:
  24. ya, you gotta know the song. i got a laugh.
  25. oh man, you can fit all kinds of teenagers acting up in a pick up, but at least they won't be in the cab to distract the driver :rotf:
