  1. Everytime I hit Det, Pete is down south or out west, so I'll make it out and sure the MJ be running to get me there as well, If not have to hitch a ride with Dave. :D :wrench: let me know when and what to bring.
  2. good read, been thinking on what to do with the brakes with the 44/60 install and think I may just plug the mj valve and keep the stock booster and see how that goes and go from their if not enough.
  3. ok first off if don't know MJs are unibody front ends so only part of body you can jack up is the bed. but if nothing else what engine is in it? I good shaped no rust Mj to me is worth $1000 running with 4wd and a 4.0. if can wants to just scrap it then I say a fair price be $350-$450 range and this depends as in if it is a 2.5 or 4.0 etc... and if you are not very wrench capable then may need some help with doing a drivetrain swap. but as mention a doner rig makes things easier. But being 14 I think it would be a great thing to get him into. just tell him if he wants a car to drive then he better fix it so he can. be a good healthy hobby for him and teach him responsibility, which is why I assume your asking, so in long words, I personally think it is worth it, but I own a MJ and is kinda partial. :shake:
  4. I stared at it and thought about the possibilities. :wall:
  5. I have air soft bbs in my 37s 8-9 ozs
  6. width is fine, I have a stock XJ perches and all under the XJ, bushings are shot as hell, bought it that way. but XJ perchs are 45" on center and MJ perches are 42" on center. :wrench:
  7. yeah I installed my hood pins a bit ago. Haven't got around to doing the struts yet, extra ones I had I gave to a buddy cause his XJ hatch would not open by itself, lol but I just grabbed a hood spring from a 96 jimmy blazer and took out the hood stop and put spring there and not it pops up enough to grab the hood and open it, this way I do not have to copy some cool people and intall $.99 cupboard handles on the hood. (pete) :rotfl2:
  8. since you have the seats out, you should pull the carpet and clean the floor up and power wash the carpet. Be like new. :D
  9. thanks man! really? good whats pro and cons about it from your buddy's experience(s) with them? his jeep xj with 3" lift and 31's goes anywhere he points it. DD's it as well, for a 65 year old man he wheels pretty good. He doesn't do nothing wicked but he wheels almost every weekend at the local parks and they never really let him done. I've been impressed a few times with them as well and he runs them on a set of trail ready bead locks and centramatic wheel balancers.
  10. comanche12: looks good man. My buddy has the same tires and he loves them.
  11. pick up the tires for the jeep today, 37s front vs 33s rear :D

  14. hell yeah man that MJ is a dream, good to see it stay with someone that has the love for them. must have more pics of it when you have it home. :D
  15. got my wheel studs, rock auto all for $15. :D so front discs are mounted on hubs and just waiting on the rear discs to mount them. Got the real brake caliper brackets mounted up and mocked up with a junk rotor.
  16. lol, I'm referring to this project go around. I'm lost? you sold MJ again? no, he was referring to my first MJ that I had sold and went to an XJ cause of the 2 kids and wife who wheel with me, which is why sold it, got this MJ back cause I love the MJ, and have a CJ now for the wife so we can both wheel. So I'm able to build my MJ out right now how I want. So if I sell something now from this MJ project it is cause I'm upgrading parts for the MJ. will not get rid of this MJ.
  17. lol, I'm referring to this project go around.
  18. yeah need to do that to mine, but thinking I may end up dove tailing it.
  19. If I sell something it's to upgrade this thing and not much upgrading on these beautiful seats.

  21. well bought my H2's back so be running them again and be snagging a set of 37's mtr's to wrap around them :)
  22. I bought my H1's back, still never had tires on them yet, but not for long.
  23. well got some parts from www.partsmike.com today, pass side arm is bolted on, drivers arm doesn't fit around ball joint, so have to grind on that some I guess. Also ordered spindle studs, and I ordered a set for a chevy knuckle, not a ford, oops that was last D44. So just going to go to NAPA and pick them up. So if any one needs some Chevy spindle studs let me know. :D
