  1. I believe the Comanche itself (i.e., the bed) is marginally wider than an XJ is the back, but XJ and MJ axles are the same width. glad you could clear that up. :waving: :rotfl2:

You do know the JK Rubicon axle is very different than the TJ Rubicon axle right? Aside from the gears I don't think anything will interchange between them. yes I was referring to gears as what the subject matter was.

Do you know if the JK rubi and TJ rubi share the same type of thick cut gear? I know the stock TJ rubi 4.10s will fit another D44 if it has the 3.92 or [numerically] smaller carrier. I don't *think* they do. I also don't think you can put rubi JK 4.10s into the non rubi D44 rear either. But it's been so long since I've read up on all that I'm not sure. no you can't put rubi in non rubi axles
  4. i had put the trans mount in other day so cross-member is back on. looking to get parts together and get it ready for buddy to pick up tomorrow and is going to handle the welding for me and get them under the jeep as I have not much time with working 6 days a week. Hoping to have it drivable by the Jeep Blessing on the 30th. :brows:

  6. never had tilt steering huh? I've always had it so can't think of it would be without it, prolly much like me swapping wheels and the smaller steering wheel over the stock one is awesome. But good to hear you at least had it road bound for a bit must be getting warmer. :D

  16. Everytime I hit Det, Pete is down south or out west, so I'll make it out and sure the MJ be running to get me there as well, If not have to hitch a ride with Dave. :D :wrench: let me know when and what to bring.
  17. good read, been thinking on what to do with the brakes with the 44/60 install and think I may just plug the mj valve and keep the stock booster and see how that goes and go from their if not enough.
  18. ok first off if don't know MJs are unibody front ends so only part of body you can jack up is the bed. but if nothing else what engine is in it? I good shaped no rust Mj to me is worth $1000 running with 4wd and a 4.0. if can wants to just scrap it then I say a fair price be $350-$450 range and this depends as in if it is a 2.5 or 4.0 etc... and if you are not very wrench capable then may need some help with doing a drivetrain swap. but as mention a doner rig makes things easier. But being 14 I think it would be a great thing to get him into. just tell him if he wants a car to drive then he better fix it so he can. be a good healthy hobby for him and teach him responsibility, which is why I assume your asking, so in long words, I personally think it is worth it, but I own a MJ and is kinda partial. :shake:
  19. I stared at it and thought about the possibilities. :wall:
  20. I have air soft bbs in my 37s 8-9 ozs
  21. width is fine, I have a stock XJ perches and all under the XJ, bushings are shot as hell, bought it that way. but XJ perchs are 45" on center and MJ perches are 42" on center. :wrench:
  22. yeah I installed my hood pins a bit ago. Haven't got around to doing the struts yet, extra ones I had I gave to a buddy cause his XJ hatch would not open by itself, lol but I just grabbed a hood spring from a 96 jimmy blazer and took out the hood stop and put spring there and not it pops up enough to grab the hood and open it, this way I do not have to copy some cool people and intall $.99 cupboard handles on the hood. (pete) :rotfl2:
  23. since you have the seats out, you should pull the carpet and clean the floor up and power wash the carpet. Be like new. :D
