  1. well steering fixed now, come to find out the death wobble symptoms was cause by the fact that my hy-steer arms were drilled wrong, to much taken out, so the nut would bottom out on the end not allowing it to fully tighten, 1/4" worth :( but fixed it and all is tight again.
  2. pulled shafts out, though found the right set of shafts i needed but ended up being half ton shafts, so still looking for 3/4 ton shafts, but then beat the $#!& out of it and the damn things runs great with 6 pistons again.
  3. part reason, maybe but a pea size hole in my valve was mostly the issue. I used sea foam when it first started slagging, but knew it was to be worse and internal problem.
  4. the problem in the old engine, hole in valve on head to with the bad rings.
  5. pulled a all nighter yesterday and swapped out engines, finished small bs today, i can drive in reverse now i have power and 6 cly again. :D
  6. started pulling my doner engine last night about 6pm then swapped it in the mj, so no more gutless smokey 4.0. as of 8am this morning i have a new engine in the rig. now to get some damn sleep.
  7. well been a while for updates. But quick review, wife and I split up 2 months before our 1 yr wedding anniversary, so we split and to handle a few debts and survive, I sold off my winch and seats thus far, put a bench seat in as I planned before bought the last seats, so far I like it , not like my last seats, but like it for my 2 kids sake. So living out of my truck now so importance is the engine, I go through about 2 gallons of oil every tank of gas, and get roughly 10 miles a gallon. So finally got me a engine to swap in and thus be working on it this week and hope to be done with it by sunday. THen I'll be looking to hit the road and head south or west to find work and start over. So yeah that is my update.
  8. :ack: x2 on the D44 upgrade  broken shaft, very stumped by that myself. perhaps just was a bat situation and it just was kinda a freak thing, i put a another plain jane shock on it and run it and see how it holds up and keep a eye on it and see how it works then go from there and upgrade the shock. and here's that pic as well tires turned to right a bit but can get a good idea...
  9. Fixed it for ya. Rob :waving: Everything is for sale for the right price, you should know that. but now that you mention it about to put it up as i would like to get a side byside! :brows:
  10. yeah I know, almost went that way, but for the ease and simplity of install just went to the front. It still drives pretty good with good road manners, the seats help for sure, but I can deal with it for the next year or so until I link the front.
