  4. i know a coupple people who have put expanding foam in all the rust cracks and leaks to sell the vehicle, not telling the new owner about what they did to get it that way xD i hope they didnt do it to alot of other places, nice looking truck, i hope to see more on this :D
  5. ive been waiting for an update :) looking good, liking the new title xD quick question, what is that circle beside the right rear wheel well?
  6. I'm lovin the jeep street sign, sooo jealous
  7. i was going to say bad fuel but u guys beat me too it :( LOL i have 2 year old fuel in my truck :rotfl2: :shake:
  8. lookin good, gotta love that auto cad eh? i was working on some stuff in cadopia, one of the olderversions, i learnt you gotta save lots, or youll be looking for a replacement monitor or keyboard xP
  9. you are going to need a clutch master cyl, that connects the the slave cyl (internal or external) of the transmission, also you will need to pull out a clutch pedal (and the bolts and mount) so you can mount/bolt it to your truck, you will also have to drill out a hole for the clutch master cyls push rod to come through the firewall, above your fuse box, and drill two more holes for mounting bolts, best advice for drilling the holes are, be carefule, don't hit the fuse box, use pilot holes take the gasket that came with the mastercyl and match up the sizes, take a sharpie and mark out where it needs to be, check out this thread, i had to do a master cyl upgrade, bolt pattern was diffrent, but it will help you a little bit, viewtopic.php?f=7&t=13533&start=32 also, this is could be posted into the tech forum for faster response and more help :D gl hf

  11. nothing really to update today, no progress no pics, I'm going to get a donor xj soon and swap everything off of that onto my truck, going to do fenders and flare , bumpers, bucket seat and consol, axels ( if they are d44's or if its 4wd) transmission, clutch and flywheel, and the exhaust, then I'm going to take what is left and find a good spot up in the mountains some where to leave the exoskeleton
  12. hey, I'm having a party tomorow, and i need a good drinking game, ill have about 15-20+ people coming and i need a game quick :) and suggestions?
  13. it makes perfect sense, you have to clean the metal surface of rust because rust grows, you get rid of the rust and you will not be in the same boat as last time, leave the rust there and it will re-rust and you are hooped, and have to do it all over again, look at my build thread, viewtopic.php?f=7&t=13533&start=0 see how i grinded off all of the rust before re-painting? i did that for the same reason as i put above good luck man  hope this works out for you
  14. :agree: u are still making excuses xP honnestly, just go thru all of this thread, MAKE A CHECK LIST go through it don't just skim it, and make sure u do it properly or don't do it at all, you want it strictly offroading, when if its not safe enough for the road then its definantly not safe enough for offroad what so ever, offroading puts great amounts of stress and flex on your truck, wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more then driving down a flat level peice of asphalt, so come on, quit cutting corners and making excuses, go big or go home man
  15. i love how clean the engine bay is :)
  16. mustn't have had read your own thread then
  17. lol not even close, depends on where u live, where i am winter is just under 1/3 of the year and gets down to -20 celcius to +45 celcuis, where i used to live, was -50 celcius to +25 celcius and 2/3 winter of the year, so rule of thumb, the higher u go, the colder it gets, we don't live in igloos either xP and nor do we have polar bears as pets, lol sorry hijacked thread
  18. well upon working on the truck some more, i have tried bleeding the clutchyesterday and there is air still getting in, so we checked the seals on my slave cyl and they are good, I'm thinking it has to be the last bit of old flex line, i am going to try to install a double ended male connector to connect the single piece new line to the slave cyl, and if that doesnt work I'm going to have to replace my replacement slave cyl xP will update with pics soon, i have finally found a good name for my project, the never ending story xP
  19. MAN, get some NEW glasses, a wire wheel will NOT CUT IT!!! Forget about using a wire wheel!!! A reg 1/4" cutting wheel used to clean the steel is better than that wire wheel!!! Get yourself a couple flap discs!!!! CW agreed, saves alot of time, instead of hours and hours on end of sanding down the inside of my truck i only had about 3 1/2 hours of grinding
  20.  plug welds are you friends, make lots of them and they will be very good friends :)
  21. ok, so what would make a transmission engage in neutral? when i move the stick to make sure its in neutral it is, but the splines where the yolk on the shaft is still spinning?
  22. eagle that was me, i was just going over things that could be making it not work, on further analysis i found that the transmission was engaging while it was in neutral. is that a problem with over torqued clutch?
