  1. new project, do alignment proper, chewed through a brand new set of rubber in roughly 2 weeks TRE's rusted solid, a bit of seam foam deep creep and this handy vice with the pipe bender and they came out like pie clamp a vice grip as hard as possible on it, vice grip in tube bender, apply all weight on crescent wrench cleaning the inside with the deep creep (breaks down rust) purple power :D all done, 1/8" toe in with tape measure gotta start this project some time
  2. U bolts weren't the proper size, they bent the radius too small, Trust me they are not coming off And the shocks were an after though the bolt holes didn't lime up where I wanted them, And the welds are burned in there deep a lot stronger than ubolts would be :P
  3. went 4x4ing with my buddy, but i sketched out and turned around and he decided to keep going ended up rolling his truck down the cliff so went up today, got to say i told ya so, started cutting his truck outta the side of the mountain, luckily there is a trail below, here's some pics, doesnt look to steep from this angle winch to move all the logs holding him up and to put it into perspective, hes standing straight up almost out going out on wednesday to finish the job and here's a pic of my manche :D

  12. Cable drive, Question is do I need to swap the smaller 28 tooth gear onto the long shaft, (the one that came with tranny 99 ax-15) or can I use the larger 28 tooth gear that came out of my 88 tranny
  13. Swapped in my tranny, Threw the old speedo gear in, Its the same amount of teeth but bigger, Do I need to swap over to the other one? But just stick that gear on the longer shaft?

  18. had the death wobble, what an experience, my jeep turned iinto an eep and I'm shy of more than a few pairs of pants, ive narrowed the problem down... (shhh) i think its my track bar :shake: so.. i installed this steering stabilizer to mask the problem until i can buy another one forgot to post pics of my shocks mounted  now time to start on odds and ends, got my wiring harness adapter installed re did all the connections on my positive + negative cables for my amp got my subs installed. i had to remove the top of my center consol to get it in, then re-attach it more to come, i need to fix my speedo
  19. did an ax-15 4wd conversion to my 2wd 1988 comanche, and alas i don't have any more speedometer, i switched my speedo gear to the stock one, rotated to the 28 teeth mark, and still nothing, could i have stretched the cable to far? or what would cause this, i would love to know what speed I'm going, thanks for reply in advance

  22. I'm not sure if you guys know what I'm doing for school, well here it is I'm in school at this moment to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Mechanic specializing in Helicopters  i will be finished on feb 3rd 2013 and will be a 2nd year apprentice, ive learned lots, hydraulics turbos +super chargers riveting sheet metal work inspections electrical systems carbs/fuel injection vibration analysis recipe engine's turbine engines, making composites bearings and seals, the list goes on and on, i finally got to tear apart an engine this is where I'm at my work space my engine 0-320-H2AD the tear down split the crank case this is how i achieved that ^^ washers on one side, no washers on the other, acts as a "pry bar" without doing damage to the crank case, 2 of those setups on either side of the case down to the heart of the engine and this is what a reciprocating engine looks like disassembled done for the day this is where i am at for now, i have to measure every component and make sure its all in tolerence, re assemble to correct torque values, and then run the engine up :D i shall update this once i have a significant amount of pics
  23. BEST UPGRADE YET! i do the shock mounts after school tomorrow  then she's on the road
