  2. my 87 2.5L had a lsd in it, that thing went any where i took it, and i live in the mountains so trails are easy to find, i ran 30" tires, truck sagged lots so it was low C of G just have a buddy with ya to tug you out, should be fine  i brought pallets for obstacles i couldnt get over, only used them once
  3. looking good, but not gonna lie that laredo is false advertising  unless you have T/U as your 8th digit in your vin :shake:
  4. tid bit of an update decided to reseal my axle shaft, p/o cheaped out and used a destroyed seal when re-doing the axle first time grinding off a bearing + retainer, watched lots of vids, every one did it straight across which scored the shaft and destroyed the retaining plate i did it on an angle, worked perfectly see not a scratch! pressing it on, my man power didnt have enough force to press them on, ended up bending the bar took it to school and used the 12 ton hydraulic press took about 5 seconds to get it on the last inch all pressed on and ready to install also replaced my fuel filter, I'm assuming the original was still on also gapped my spark plugs to .035 more to come
  5. looking good, did you remove all the surface rust before priming?

  9. went 4x4ing about a month ago, bent my LCA mount, finally let go bent + twisted straight enough figured id spend more time bracing the old bracket, so i made a new one out came the plasma cutter old vs new mocking it up, i think it fits pretty good  final draft, cambered the edges to make more ridged look at that not so good flex! welding it on bolted back into place :D

  15. You didn't actually crawl under that thing on that stump/stand did ya???? That is an obituary looking for a place to start. Be carful!!! opsled there were 6 jack stands supporting it as well  not my first rodeo, ive had a foreign exchange student who was supposed to help my flush my p/s fluid, i layed under the axle, he threw it in gear and started the truck up while on front jacks
  16. Pretty sure the MJ Laredo trim level models were offered in 87-88 only. There's a very old local guy (85+) in my town who has a white 88 Laredo w. a D44, cargo light, 4x4, towing package, metric ton, i have all that except stock 4x4, did that one myself
  17. installed bose speakers, fixed my oil pressure gauge, new drum, ordered new axle seals + bearing, will seal and do bearings next week :D
  18. I'm with carena on this one, Because this problem happens to me, Unplug your tps, remove the green weather seal, Plug it back in  Works for me your IAC is on the throttle body beside your TPS, you can remove it, 2 torx, check to see if it goes in and out (its a soleniod) if not spray it with solvent, and put in vice and pry with screwdrive (sounds nuts but it frees the soleniod) IAC wouldnt bring it to 2500 rpm tho, your TPS on the other hand will, like i said before it happens to me, took me a while to figure it out but as above that fixes it. ***EDIT*** just happened to me again, shut it off, turned it on VROOOM 3000 rpm, shut it off pulled the tps and cycled the throttle lever on TBI until i heard a distinct click, started just peachy :D
  19. looks great  , i bet it hurt drilling through the bed and fenders tho :(
  20. sold a guy a new lift kit for the rear, he has some RE 5.5" coils , i right now have the zone offroad 4.5" coils + fixed control arms, could i snag a lil more lift outta my truck or would it be advisable not to as per caster and geometry and ride?
  21. My 88 manche does it by itself, I just pull the TPS out and reconnect it to bring it back to normal
