  1. i ran a stock drag link on 4.5" of lift, i added a zj v8 tie rod which is a great upgrade and was cheaper than getting TRE's
  2. Where I'm living up north for school I got quoted 150-275 for a used front driveshaft, Down south where I live I rebuilt it to new for $150 xD At my pnp they are $20+tax
  3. Looking good! Keep up the work! I just did that repair not to long ago :P
  4. I'm running 35's on 3.55 gears, great for highway economy, Okish for wwheeling, 33's on 3.55's should be no problem, Go to 410 if your looking to do a lot of trail riding, It will have worse economy on the highway tho, because the amount of exyta rotations for the tires to go the same speed
  5. if you can't get the top one, put a jack under the transmission crossmember, lower the x-member once all the bolts are removed, youll have easier acess after that, try a bunch of extensions first, because the x-member bolts are usually seized to the frame
  6. No hangar brackets mounted to it sir, So when my axle contacts itt'l lift up with the axle, It was something I put together in 10 mins, just so I could get my truck ready for a 12 hour drive upnorth to complete my aircraift maitenance schooling, And yes I know its not 4x4 practical, just somethig to get me goin when I get back home I plan on adding a bend over the axle
  7. I'm suprised that I haven't posted here, This my manche, I'm currently in dawsoncreek bc, but live in winfield bc, and probsa movingto osoyoos bc in feb
  8. You'll get it, I've been wtaching this build since ya first posted it, Keep er comin your doing great!
  9. For your cruise control, The rest of the sensor needed is attached to the back of the of the gauge cluster, So you will need that, It pretty much taps off your spedocable, which the spedocable will plug into, Once you have that and the rest of the wiring from that sensor nstalled it should work, keep it up! :D
  10. If you have no luck finind a leaf pack, Get a set from hellcreek, comanche club gets a discount
  11. There's notHing wrong with the canadian army, They are peace keepers, for other country's where their armys have exponential ego's, Just sayin..
  12. May sound weird, Maybe vapour lock from a leak in your fuel line/TB?
  13. Your build is sick sir, I know I don't post much about it but I've watched this since page one, Keep up the good work!
  14. Welcome baCk! Now let's see some updates in your build threads!!
  15. that sir is the 2500 conversion, don't think it is longer available, the dude who built that truck was selling the packages for just over $2000 iirc, and rmontes, that is a sticker, jeep converted thier emblems into peel n stick a while ago, but money talks I'm sure u can pay a company to make one :P
  16. i seen this on CC about 2 years ago, SIIICK we just assumed that is was an amazing retro fit, but factory built? BADASS
  17. Thanks guys! more pics, look my seat bolts in! an upgrade to the one little 3/8th stud that held my seat on! sadly no more auto recline feature tho while doing hill climbs the said surface rust, ima pick up a can of rust killing primer to stop it before it goes intergranular here you can see the ammount of "massaging" that is needed for the new floor pan to mate to the old pan nothing like a big hammer and lots of tack welds the passenger side, looks much cleaner because the lack of salt + snow XD i also got around to installing my exhaust, i had everything i needed for the longest time, decided that welding wasnt nessicary and used a bunch of u bolts, i stretched and snapped the initial bolts to ensure a tight seal of the exhaust pipes, and boy what a difference actual exhaust is. my blower motor died on me on the way up to dawsoncreek, i got a new motor, assembled it and its installed now, no pics tho, but the heated cab is luxury :D more to come :P
  18. It seems with the new update, Your pic url gets converted to the actual picture in the text editor box, And ten you cannot properly add text where you'd like it, My problem is, I have my build thread on more than one forum, That being said, it is now completley unable to just quote/copy what wrote from this dite, And paste onto another site, Which is a great pain, since I then need to re type evrything and then manually slect all the pics I need and add the "" brackets, So what I'm getting at is, Is there a way for the picture conversion to be disabled when you quote/preview your text? Its a royal pain and I have given up on udating to other sites because of it
  19. Looking good sir, Watch out for your sparkplug wires tho, If you have a break in your shielded insulation on the wwires, It will cause it to find the easiest path to grond, which may be another spark plug, Other than that great work, and amazing detail
  20. been a long time since ive updated this thread, i am currently upnorth in dawsoncreek finishing my aircraft maintenance schooling, so i rushed to get my truck finished for up there Drivers side floor pans removed pans all prepped to go into my truck theese floor pans are out of a cherokee (96) it was a lot of work but i made them fit, perfect by no means but a hell of alot better than before (many thanks to my neighbor for as i couldnt have done it without him) the pan style is completly different from the center brace back so i had to rework the entire metal of the pan to suite my needs mock fit amongst many my rocker was rotten through here so i had to remove it, bye bye in with the new repairing the inner pan of rot, i had to do the same to the other side as well cutting the pans to fit in this photo you can see the shear difference of the cherokee style of pan in the rear, i had to rework all that metal for it to fit, and weld all the holes up that were not nessicary the other side went much smoother because i was able to keep most of the original pan, i had to rework this side the same way, the hole on the left with the 3 smaller holes is for a seat bolt/brace from the newer 91+ cherokee seats (yes i can now directly bolt in 97+ leather seats, which is one of the reasons why i decided to go with theese pans/brackets) my drivers side seatbelt bolt was completley rusted to the nut on the inside of the rocker, so i had to chop that out and make a new peice with a new nut on the inside (yet another setback to the repairing process) this is the passenger side all welded together, at this point i seam sealed it all up and called her good for now, bolted the seat in and went up to dawsoncreek to finish my schooling i don't have pics of it fully buttoned up because i was in a rush to get up here, it is a little dark out now, so when i get a chance i will snap a few photo's of the semi complete floor pans, they are only primed at the moment, and i need to re-prime the drivers side when i get home, it is showing signs of minor surface rust due to all the salt on the roads and my feet, more to come keep on jeepin :D
  21. Can't wait to see more pics, And tech questions will get answered a lot faster in the tech section, Keep on jeepin :D
  22. Yes! Funny you should mention that,I met you! I was the guy in the lead acid battery shop,Hal introduced me to ya.And 89comanche my truck is prre much complete,And my course is done in febuary
  23. Before I put new floor pans into my rig I just reached in through the rust hole and unlocked the door, Other than that, do what mini beast did, $20 at PNP and you got a new one
  24. Filling/burping a closed system is easier than it is made out to be, Remove the upper rad hose going to the Tstat hold that hose comepletly straight up in the air, FiLling the hose to the to the rim, This will gravity feed/purge the entire system, Once it is completley purged the anti freeze will come out of the tast fitting where the rad hose goes on, Clamp the hose back on, fill up the overflow resivoir and you are done.
