when I did my, um, custom airbox, I just went to the parts store and found a size of rubber vacuum tube that fit the bill. :thumbsup: might want to check the 'Help' section too for different sizes of valve cover fittings.

there will be no ads. ever. and I prefer a more simplistic layout, so that will be striven for as much as possible. :thumbsup: but change of some kind will be happening. It appears that if we keep phpbb, to fix the glitches we will be starting pretty much from scratch. The threads and usernames should transplant over, but that's about it. :( No matter what it's going to be a ton of work.

I wouldn't bother even trying to fix a peugeot. they are notoriously hard to work on, expensive, hard to get parts for, and have an annoying tendency to eat themselves alive soon after full rebuilds. AX-15s ftw. :thumbsup: do make sure your gear oil is up to level. my old peugeot had a small leak and would get finicky when the oil level dropped below a certain point.

made it all the way to GA. :D the van performed admirably (212k miles on her now) and the trip was pretty uneventful. kinda chilly down here... :doh:

2wd MJs sit 1 inch lower than 4wd. that means slightly different coils and leafs. The ride should be about the same.

was this lift originally for an XJ?

for Dodgefan, adding new coils might give more lift than he's looking for (having a 2wd). the pucks and shackles will lift the truck precisely 2" higher than it currently is. adding 2" lift coils will lift the front up 3" above what it is now (2wds are shorter than 4wds). and yes, going 2" can help keep costs at bay. just need pucks and shackles. But we of course can't guarantee you won't find issues along the way. :(

I had a vehicle fall off some cheap wussy crappy old hand-me-down jackstands. right next to me. and trapped me up against the garage wall (I was standing). and just in case that wasn't scary enough, the stand punctured the gas tank. good times. good times. :ack: I bought my first set of good stands the very next day and threw out the old ones. :yes:

ebay will have spacers and shackles.

plenty of variables when going SOA. 2wd leaves sit about an inch lower than 4wd. sagging leaves will mean less lift needed up front. leaves in better shape mean more is needed. the type of perch you use can affect the end height. bottom line is you could end up with anything between 5 and 6.5 inches needed up front to match the rear.

heading down to GA for my nephew's baptism. will be on the road and out of touch on the 25th and on the 1st, but should have internet in between when I'm in GA. Guess I'll find out just how reliable my 97 town'n'country is. :D So far I haven't gone more than 10 miles at a time since I fired it up for winter DD duties. we now return you to your regularly scheduled MJ addictions...

You're not the first to experience a broken fork. :thumbsup: but there's no need to even keep the fork. I know at least one member who used a hose clamp around the axle shaft to keep the collar over. said it's been that way for years. :wrench:
