not much out there, honestly. most of us build our own. XJ rockers are pretty close. not exact, but close.

I've read some rumors about the early ones having material quality issues, but yeah, I doubt any year can be jumped. :doh:

WJ on JK rubicon 44s with WJ wheels. not that wide at all.

been thinking about this more and have pretty much decided that the mopar JK Rubicon axles will give the best bang for the buck. I wanted gears deeper than 4.10s, but that's all my 88 has and it gets around just fine. leaning towards the TNT truss (which contains all the necessary control arm/shock/coil mounts) rather than adapting the original stuff or welding on a mutipeice kit. still not sure which control arms to use. I want to do long arms, though the TNT kit says it doesn't work with Y-link style control arms. this choice might wait 'til I get a firm budget number. going short-arm would be a way to shave a good amount of dough off the bottom line.

nope. just a long (roughly 7' inside dimension) and a short (roughly 6' inside dimension). plenty of custom rigs out there though. :thumbsup:

why did you part with it?

the batteries that craftsman sells just flat out suck. :( don't know what they're doing wrong, but they need to stop. I have an assortment of their tools but refuse to buy another battery. :fs1: My father invested in a Dewalt 18volt nicad tool kit (drill/sawzall/circ saw) a few years back and the tools and batteries are all still going strong. :thumbsup: I've heard their 20 volt lithiums are also very good.

I cut through my frame and ran the supports through it. doesn't touch the rockers, strong as hell, and is a frame strengthener too.

I don't do it, but I can understand that photos float around the internet forever and some people might prefer some level of anonymity in the future on other websites.

out of curiosity, does this hd242 have a slip yoke or fixed yoke?

my memory is telling me that the plates I got off a 91 were noticeably thicker than the ones on my 88. probably a design change that meant they didn't need the extra support plates underneath.
