  1. pretty sure I remember reading that the cherokee assembly is different. :(
  2. take that with you if you end up talking with anyone. nothing like a little evidence to prove a point
  3. I agree. that's why you make it sound like a concerned neighbor wrote it.
  4. when I found evidence of the highschool kids eating their lunches behind the doctor's office across the street from me (is it really that hard to find a trash can?), I printed out and taped up a note saying I would call the cops if I ever saw them on my neighbor's property again (I never actually saw them). just don't use the phrase "my truck", use "my neighbor's truck". that way if they cop an attitude they can't get mad at you, but rather at a mysterious anonymous neighbor.
  5. just put an ad in the classifieds, Rick. there's always a couple people parting out an MJ that should have an emblem or 2 for ya.
  6. what are the rules for stripping off weight? I'm guessing you can't simply yank off the doors and fenders... or can you? I'm thinking Ariel Atom here. if it's not essential drivetrain, it goes in the pile!
  7. Alrighty thank you. So u know if anyone sells new ones? Believe it or now yards around me hardly get XJs anymore :/ http://teamcherokee.com/door-opening-seal-jeep-cherokee-1997-2001/ and car-part.com can help you find junkyards with XJs.
  8. late model XJ door seals are a great upgrade over the stockers. they are thicker, seal better and are in much better condition in the junkyards.
  9. maybe this one will work :dunno: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BELT3B-Retractable-Black-Seat-Belt-Set-3-Point-Jeep-CJ-Wrangler-YJ-1982-1995-/351311985052?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AComanche&hash=item51cbd3799c&vxp=mtr
  10. mileage matters less than use. pick whichever is in better shape. and I would hang on to the old ones. they are getting harder and harder to find in yards.
  11. my 8mm ratcheting wrench fits in there great. :dunno: still kinda a pain though.
  12. according to the almighty google, you're talking about installing a 200+hp turbocharged motor from a late 90s/early 2000s nissan car. yep, you will likely be blazing new trails with this one. is this the swap you found already? http://blog.bespokeventures.com/tag/sr20det/
  13. that's in the AX-15.
  14. moved to the pub...
  15. you're close. you've got the address of the page that shows the image, but you need the address of the image itself.
  16. nothing special really. any GL5 rated gear oil.
  17. :rotf:
  18. spray it down with lots of lube
  19. welcome to the addiction! our trucks are plenty tough as long as rust hasn't attacked the frame.

it's the eternal debate between what looks good on a poster and what keeps you safe on the roads. also, I got to touch the thundercheif once :D
  21. was wondering about that,
  22. only takes one incident with a curb to ruin a tire's good looks.
