  3. bet it got the most attention :D
  4. plenty of guys running 35s on a 6" lift.
  5. that's what I did to build the bumpers and suspension my truck. carved up the steel with a grinder and tacked everything together with my dinky 110 welder (a $65 harbor freight stick). then I paid a few bucks to have a pro burn it all proper. :D having the l'il welder allowed me to have more control of the build process and save a ton of money over buying other peoples' bumpers (which I wouldn't have been completely happy with anyway).
  6. always good to have a tow rig that can go fetch your wheeler if it breaks. :D
  7. It's a trim / decal package, nothing else. yup, a sticker or maybe an emblem to commemorate the 1988 Olympics. that's all. there wasn't even consistency for what you got. my 88's stickers were different than yours.
  8. car-part.com can help find junkyard axles. make sure you search for the various years of xj dana 30s. the website separates everything by part number and that number changed over the years. also if you didn't yet know, 4.10s are fairly common in the 95-01 explorer 8.8s.
  9. that's 175 quadrillion Zimbabwean dollars gets you 5 bucks american. apparently 2008 saw some insane inflation of their currency and they've been using other country's currencies ever since. But now Zimbabwe is officially switching to the american dollar and willing to give the above exchange rate for the old stuff. wow indeed. biggest bill they printed was the 100 trillion. dang, that's a lot of zeros...
  10. a square piece of electrical tape will fix it right up.
  11. if anything, they will pull the tire further from the control arm by a half inch.
  12. ZJ canyons are 7" wide, TJ ones are 8" wide.
  13. waaaaaaaay too short. :(
  14. like this? its not exactly ideal (the shock was the limiting factor in both up and down travel), but I ran this for a good year 'til I could afford some nice (and longer) shocks. On the street it worked just fine.
  15. I don't think it'll be a good enough insulator to keep the heat of the sun at bay. if you go with hurculiner for the bed, be aware that prep is the key to adhesion. follow the steps and don't skimp out on anything. also, do NOT get any on your body or anything you care about.
  16. soooooo... stroking the engine out to 4.6l is allowed? :brows:
  17. about 5 times my budget, but nice ride.
  18. leaf springs can settle a bit after use. see what all happens when you put a whole bunch of weight back there for a day.
