if you want to get an SYE, those are way stronger but way more of a job since you need to take apart the t-case to install it. not sure what level of project you're looking for. oh, and now's a great time to upgrade the rear axle's ujoint straps to the little U-bolts. way better

the rear MJ shaft is like a foot longer than an XJ shaft. -double check your rear pinion angle (losing a shaft is quite rare and leads me to think something else might be wrong) -measure for a new shaft using the method on Tom's site -buy new shaft -wait patently -install new shaft -go have fun. I can't seem to find an image of it, but sealing the rear of the t-case is easy. just wrap a few 8" lengths over the end to seal it, then wrap the roll around and around to keep it all there.

It just adds to the MJ's unique smells and natural charm

those would be emblems, not decals.

both the dana 44 and the posi were separate options no matter which MJ you ordered.

oh, and I found my line output converter so tomorrow I also hope to get some thump in the truck by installing my amp and subwoofer

are you familiar with how to cut out the rockers/corners in one piece?

Tom Woods makes good stuff copious amounts of duct tape on the tailshaft to hold the oil in should be enough to get you home.

yeah, that was a real beauty. bummer. do you still have the VIN around so we can add her to the registry? now that you have enough posts I split the ad off of this thread and moved it into the classifieds for ya.

new coils are in and everything is as it should be. without the heavy things inside it sits level, so I took it all apart once again and slapped in an extra set of upper isolators. with the tools back in we're good to go. tomorrow if the rain lets me I'll wrap up the last couple things and take her for a test drive. I'm so geeked to have a suspension again!

score! oh man, there are aftermarket double-din dash trims for the Libertys now. all I gotta do is find the rarest of rare radio and I can go back another decade in radios at the same time as upgrading! (yes I know it's only a couple years earlier, but 80s are 80s. )

the crack in the frame usually appears between the steering box and the trackbar where the push/pull is the greatest.

I seriously doubt it, but if you can snap a pic of the firewall at the back of the engine we should be able to tell you. also, it doesn't really matter one way or the other since the fix is just a couple whacks with a big hammer.
